Hi, I've been selling part-time for a number of years and am ready to take the plunge to become a power seller. As I looked into setting everything up as a business I came across an issue with specifically collecting sales tax in Florida. Apparently, each county has a different rate in which you're supposed to collect the tax. In my research as far as eBay goes, you can really only enter one rate for the state. How do you Florida power sellers work with this? I am stuck at the moment....

Does ebay accounting assistant have an "automatic download" feature whereby you can set it up to download the data from ebay automatically without having to remember to do it manually? I can't seem to find this feature if it exists. Thanks!

Hi, What is the best practice for inventory purchases done with cash, like thought CL, flea markets, garage sales, newspaper ads etc. Where the seller generally is not a business and doesn't give you a receipt. Thanks in advance!

Just started my business last year and I'm working on my tax return for 2009. I'm not sure where I enter my outgoing shipping costs for items sold like USPS and Fedex. I know that shipping costs to get products to me for inventory goes under cost of goods sold, but not sure where to deduct outgoing shipping costs.

Hello, EAA will not import my SKU / Inventory Item. I was previously using this under a different account and it worked fine. I believe I have all the settings the same. Yes, I have the SKU numbers set in eBay. I really don't want to have to manually browse through my 600 SKU numbers to find the correct one. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

As eBay has complete records of our activity since day one, it would be nice if we could at least see an annual statement of our eBay buying, selling and fees paid, going back to our date of registration. A simple figure for each year would not tax eBay's servers too much I don't think. Comments?

This is a new ebayer. I am loving it, but it is a learning curve for sure and much more time consuming than I imagined. I have not really seen the ear marks of my sales, as a newby my selling fees were 'out of the roof' in December. Actually I came out even, but have received 8 gold stars so far! Yeah. ? for those experienced ebayers, what do you do about paying taxes on your profit..esp. when profit is descent, which is all of our goals ~ I imagine. Is this a hoky ? or what. Just wanting...

I have been using the old accounting assistant for some time as I tried in the past using the beta version but found that it was to slow in picking up new orders. However I have purchased two new computers that will not run the old download version. So I have been forced back into the online beta version but found that it is not picking up new orders at all. I am aware that it is much slower in posting new orders but it has been several weeks now and it has not retrieved a single new order. Can...

Hello, I used Account Assistant and Quick Books Online and it was fine but one day it just stopped working. I tried to re-synchronize and always get the same error: There was an error while testing the connection. The QuickBooks Online account is not properly configured, or these was a communication error with the server. I tried to contact Quick Books but they said it's problem from eBay side. Anybody had this problem? Thank you

I have used Outright on my other account since it came out last year. I really like it a lot, as it helps me to keep up with my eBay and PayPal activities, plus I found that I can also use it to manually enter my Amazon transactions, as well. I recently opened up a new eBay account for my clothing sales. Yesterday I was doing the fine tuning needed to get it running the way I like to work. When I clicked on Subscriptions, it offered me Terapeak and Outright, two that I have been using. I...

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Easy Auction Tracker? I've used it for the last 9 months and found that it doesn't always grab everything that it is touted to do. Sales tax missing here and there, for instance. Plus, I am a pro grower and take a few weeks off from listings in the spring and the program doesn't load insertion fees after I start up again. This program used to be one of the apps for eBay but I see it is no longer there. hmmmm, tough to make a buying...
