Can someone tell to me any logical reason why an eBay seller would post that statement in their auction? I've been trying to figure out a reason outside of what may be obvious. Thanks. 110299460567

ANyone found any "Help" on one click bid? Just submitted a bid for 52.99 and got beaten 1 minute before end-of-auction by 42.77. Looks like "1 click bid" only increments by the minimum additional bid amount. Hit it 3 times and still got beaten. Beware!!!!! eBay has found another way to help us lose.

I recently had my first experience with a "Buy It Now" with "Best Offer" option. After I entered a "Best Offer" Seller changed the price without turning down my offer and within the 48hr. period in which it was still live. Seemed like a violation of what a Seller can do while a 'bid' is pending to me. I asked eBay about this and they said that a "Best Offer" was not acutally a 'bid' so it was OK. I know the Seller in a "Best Offer" situation has all the options but a "Best Offer", from...

I'm sure this topic has been batted about for a long time. But I just wanted to see for myself what some old pro's think about it and recommend around it. I sometimes get the sneaking suspicion that a Seller uses a "brother-in-law" to artificially inflate the current high bid when I am the only one interested in an item. Happened to me this week. I lost an auction when it appeared that I was the only bidder and the item was going to go for about $50 less than two dozen other auctions of...

I am by far primarily a seller... but I just bid on a listing, just a couple bucks above the curent bid - this is in the $10-20 range. and... this is what I got: "You are close to being outbid. If someone else places a bid, you will no longer be the high bidder." do they ALWAYS say that?... and... is this based on actual numbers, etc.? If so, that is basically telling you info on what others are bidding, etc... it gets weirder every day.. ;o) thanks, W

I noted sometimes that the same Bidder increases bids, days before the end, without visible intermidient other Bidder. I can understand mistakes from members with 2 to 10 scores, but a Bidder with 30, 50 or 1000 scores must be or Idiot to increase its own bid, or smuggler, friend of the Seller, who would like to "Inflate" Seller's price. I propose to "eBay" to study the problem, correct the programm to exclude this possibility, and to other Bidders to avoid Sellers with possibly "Inflated"...

I won an item a few weeks ago and hadn't received it after about two weeks, so I emailed the seller to ask if it had been shipped. The seller wrote back that it might have gotten lost in the mail and would refund my money if it didn't arrive within the next week or so. I checked the seller's feedback, which was at 99.something. Lots of positive feedback about quick shipping, but also a few about shipping taking awhile, and about a dozen "item lost in the mail, but refunded quickly" comments...

Ok, so here's a hypothetical: I set my "maximum bid" for an item at some amount -- say $100. It immediately went to the amount just beyond what someone else had bid -- say $50. I've looked around a little bit, and now think that I don't want to pay more than $75 for the item. Is there a way to lower my maximum bid? I'm not trying to renege on a bid -- I'm just sorry that I set the max so high. Thanks for you insights.

Why is it, that when I select "No International Sales" when I am composing an auction, that international bidders are still allowed to place bids on my items? They should receive a message similar to the "blocked bidder" message, that allows for them to continue ONLY if they are shipping to a U.S. address. When they do so, it completes the sale and ends the auction with a buyer that I DO NOT want to sell or ship to. It costs me Ebay fees and then I have to re-post the item=more fees. (maybe I...

Forget about sniping or last minute bidding on items- just had an item that I tried to place a bid @ 40 seconds left, only to go from "Place Bid" to the Sign In page. Had to sign back in, even though I had previously checked the "stay signed in" block earlier. After signing back in, the "Confirm Bid" page came up, but by this time, the item had ended. There were no bids on the item, so the seller lost out on selling the item. After calling ebay to question what happened, was told that...
