Figured there's one every week or so, so this should have a permanent thread. 1) New page view format. This is the A#1 stupid change, and I don't understand why no one seems to care about it. They've made it look like all of the relevant info is in the viewable portion of the page, so very few buyers scroll down to look at your superior self-hosted picture or to get your specific info. I get tons of questions now about stuff I plainly state in my listing. I suppose the lower grade stuff I'm...

I have not sold any comics on eBay for quite some time. I began sellling comics early on beginning in 1999. At the time it was not uncommon to receive guide or above guide for many books. Now every comic in existence is in someone's rotten "store". The whole point of eBay was that it was an auction site. I used to start marvel and D.C. silver age keys and golden age books at 1 penny and I always got a fair shake. Now every old dealer as well as many collectors have ruined the supply...

Can you list comic books by the ISBN # on the back??? I just axquired a bunch of comic books and want to get them listed and listed pretty quickly, never listed a bunch of comic books in bulk or as singles before, so I am turning to you people for help in this. What category do you start with, books???? and then go to a sub-category. I could use all the help I can get, and do they give you the option of filling in the ISBN #, which would make this go alot quciker. Thank you for your...

There have been a few comics that have addressed the reality-based issue of modern terrorism beyond the occasional mention or short story arcs involving generic "terrorists". The run on Captain America that came out just after 9/11 was one that seemed to address the issues of post-2001 terrorism in a serious & realistic way. Are there any others that currently address the issue of the Radical Islamic Terrorism that has left virtually no corner of the earth unharmed? Has that Batman...

I picked up the tpb 'Batman - Return of Ras Al Ghul. I am not sure what is going on lately with the batman books, but the last few I have read seem to be going off somehow. The character of Batman seems much different in the last year than he was a short while back. Perhaps its Grant Morrison who is putting in his own touch. To me the stories are choppy and seem to be developed around some plot device. Lets have Batman go nuts and start seeing things, lets have Ras come back.....

Hi, I'm back as a seller after a hiatus of several years and I'm kind of surprised by the lack of selection and interest in comics on Ebay. Are people selling somewhere else now? If so, where? And has anyone being paying attention to this downward trend and could summarize it or is it business as usual and I'm just remembering with rose colored synapses?

From his latest newsletter: "In case you are wondering, we'll be posting the CGC-graded comics that I won in the (Mound City) auction some time in the next couple of weeks. I first have to pay for them, and then I have to wait while they get shipped to us. In the meantime, however, I'm going to need to review all of our existing CGC listings. There were just too many instances during yesterday's auction where I saw comics selling for far above what we have been asking on our website. As I...

My worst fears have been confirmed. The new layout, with most info a bidder is interested in all arranged at the top in the user's window, has succeeded (there absolutely was intent) in discouraging bidders from scrolling down and looking at your individual content. I used to get about 2 questions per 50 items listed. Now it's like 15, and they're all about info I've supplied in my "description" area. I'm considering making my e-bay pic a "please scroll down" message, but then I'll screw...

I didn't want to post this under "unfair sellers" or the "LBGA thread", and I didn't see a thread that said "give me some cheese to go with my whine" so here it is... I received ASM # 77 in the mail today (great book). It was graded as a fine with no tears or creases and for the most part it was. After inspecting it, I decided to check out the original auction pic. There was now a ding on the cover that was not present in the auction pic (slight tear). It looks like the seller thumbed...
