For those of you that are interested, SciFi is running the first & second mini-series, plus all the weekly episodes, starting this Sunday, running thru Tuesday. I have a feeling that my memories of the show will be better than the actual shows, once I watch them again.

I have been looking for a Betty And Me #16 (the Archie with the famous "beat off" cover) for a long time. Recently I won one for $12 in Fine condition from a "buy it now" less than a half hour after it was listed. I recently saw a VG+ copy go for four times Overstreet on Ebay. I paid by Paypal at once. Now, today I get my money refunded back to me, saying it is out of stock. This deal stinks to me like rotten fish considering this was a "buy it now"- why was it even listed if it wasn't...

I'm not thinking of opening one up but I do see a lack of stores to go to. Is this because of Ebay or general disinterest in the hobby. I know the newer comics are high priced and thinner with computer drawn covers making them look cheap... so new comic sales are probaly down but what about stores with just back issues. I know that some stores are mainly doing gaming junk but they are hardly comic stores any more. Anyone know of retail stores doing well... it used to be fun visiting them....

Ok, here is me scenario. Paypal/Ebay selling guidlines are as follows. In order for a seller to be protected under seller protection, all shipments must have a tracking number. Also, international shipments only qualify when shipped Priority or Express mail (because these are the only way to track USPS international). All of my auctions have the cheapest option for shipping Priority International which is flat rate envelope of $10.95. I had a guy who emailed BEFORE he bid asking if I...

Anybody experiencing an uptick in unreliability in overseas shipping? I mailed two 1st class envelopes to England, both buyers contacted me for non-receipt 10 days later, they finally showed after 2 weeks. A German customer of mine received 1 of 2 parcels in 6 days, but 3 weeks later still hasn't received the 2nd. I'm going to have to eat that one. In 5 years I've had no problems, now I'm sweating every overseas shipment. Is there an affordable way to ship these with tracking?

Hey... How does this work exactly... Lets say I want to post a FF # 50 for sale, and it's been given a CGC grade of 9.0. That means its worth about $420, as according to some price guide. Whats the rule of thumb (if there is any) with what I should expect to get for it on ebay? I see MANY posts where comics are being listed for A LOT less then they are worth. Sometimes I'm wondering how some sellers make money considering the CGC fees. I know that the FMV change from week to week,...

I just tonight became a Bronze power seller. I am just curious from those of you who know, just what advantages there are from it? Is it really a big deal? Will I get lower listing or final value fees? Thanks

A couple of questions - I have recently started selling a portion of my collection. The first lot I posted was for 10 comics - I had posted the shipping as Priority Mail for $4.95. I was thinking these would fit in the flat rate box. From what I can tell, the small FRB does not fit comics ( 8 5/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 5/8"). They would fit the medium box, but that is 9.85. I ended up just shipping them in a different box as 2 lbs. The price came out to about 5.30 (they sold for enough that...

I have listed a run of Spider-man readers 51-122. I did it through e-Bay, because I was running behind and wanted to sit on the couch and do it on my wife's lap-top while we watched the Bears game. The pictures I uploaded through e-Bay listing enlarge to near full size, whereas the ones for everything I listed through turbo-lister (Silver Surfer 1-18, SHIELD 1-13, Captain Marvel 1-21, others) stay small. I'd just skip the bells and whistles with the pain in the neck html if I could list...

Link FYI, The Grand Comic Database has been upgraded! Users know they were having trouble (and not just with the server), but that's been sorted out. Nice and fast now. Check out the best comic database out there. And if there's some missing covers that you own, upload them, it's a community project.

Got V for Vendetta from the library and watched it last night. It is close to one of the bad movies of all time... really awful, Made no sense Bad acting Natalie Portman --what a waste in this movie. poor use of good actors Did I say I did'nt like it? This thing makes Battlefield Earth look good. Even when I am telling a lie I am truthful. Rick
