Can anyone say definatively yes or no? Some clerks will accept packages for this rate and others say No...claim its "Magazines and has advertising" etc. Its been a crap shoot at the post offices I use and I'm tired of getting burnt on large shipments if I can in fact ship Media Rate. They end up using this other rate that maybe saves a dime called Printed Material but is a variable rate based on where its going by Zip Code so many times its about the same as First Class. Tonight at the 24/7...

Anyone out there know where this is listed in Overstreet? I haven't been able to find it in the guide or the Gerber books. The indica says it was published by "I.W Enterprises" and it's a 10 cent comic. It is precode. I'd like to sell it, but I'm not sure what to start it at. Thanks in advance.

Hey, guys, any suggestions for finding previously-used backing boards? Like 500, 1000 or more? I think I've seen them for sale by packs of 100 at the LCS but their packs of new boards are ridiculously expensive so I can't imagine that their recycled boards are much of a deal (still need to check it out though).

Hey guys, Lately, I've been purchasing a lot of the wonderful Marvel Masterworks series. I have collected all the volumes of Amazing Spiderman which allows me to read the first 100 issues of this great series. I love graphic novels and reprints. I want to read these great stories with fresh glossy papers, not yellowish old flimsy comic books. I am wondering if Marvel has published any other reprints of Amazing Spiderman. Is there any way I can read issues past #100 in reprint...

This comes up on threads now and then- mentions of auctions that end with much higher results then your average comic book buyer/seller would expect. I thought that if a specific thread was set up to keep track of comics and comic lots that go for more than would generally be expected we might be able to pick up some interesting info. It could be especially helpful in getting a sense of what comics from the 80's and 90's are being to show some real collector interest. Obviously, many of the...

Not sure if you guys know the backstory, but besides being a dirty hippie/Deadhead, owner Doug Schmell is a disbarred lawyer who was thrown out of his profession for embezzling from his clients (he stole from several Grandmas to buy comics for his site). He then attempted to knowingly launder a Ewert book through CGC in an effort to receive an upgrade and a 'virgin' serial number... Now there's a chance that he has been manipulating his auctions, and in a way, manipulating the high grade...

Sigh..I've done this before and thought i'd do it again, since things seem to be changin' a bit concerning what can or cannot be posted here (for the better, i hope ). Now, wouldn't be easier if we can post our want lists, strictly for the respected, regular members of the board who are sellers here to see? I put way more trust on the the regular members of the board than sellers who i barely know. So wouldn't be more logical if you guys know what i want, and should you have them up for...

Figured there's one every week or so, so this should have a permanent thread. 1) New page view format. This is the A#1 stupid change, and I don't understand why no one seems to care about it. They've made it look like all of the relevant info is in the viewable portion of the page, so very few buyers scroll down to look at your superior self-hosted picture or to get your specific info. I get tons of questions now about stuff I plainly state in my listing. I suppose the lower grade stuff I'm...

Here's a sentence or two on many topics, all related to CGC. If you have any questions, try Google or the CGC Board search engine. If you have specific questions, post them here and I might be able to answer them. Feel free to add to these, I will be as they come to me. 1. The "Guaranty" in CGC. They only guarantee is that 3 people will grade it and that it's an actual comic book. 2. Grading curve. Older comics are graded more leniently. 3. Certain pre-1950s books can have restoration but...

How much better by a percentage amount would you say CGC is compared to PGX? 20% better? 30% better? Or maybe they are not that far apart. Just curious what your comments are regarding this question. Thanks for your response.

this one is up for bid now but is mercifully ending soon: CONDITION: Badly damaged with multiple tears on both cover and interior pages, but a rare book indeed! and still intact "intact" of course being a relative term.
