Hi, new to these boards but i thought i might be able to get som help here! I was trying to up load some photos to photobucket this am and i kept freezing. So i tried to restart my comp and now i cant do anything ! all i get is the dos screen and if i click on any of them to start it looks like it want to restart but then goes right back to the dos screen. Any ideas? TIA Donna

I had someone work in my store for me on Saturday and I'm pretty sure it was picked up on myspace (hate myspace, btw!). It is called "Your PC Protector." I have found several sites that give instructions on how to get it off of my pc. But they all want me to download something to get it off of there. My question is: How do I know that I'm not downloading more malware? BTW, I use firefox exclusively with pop-up blocker enabled and use AVG antivirus. I'm not here for your entertainment,...

Well, my 3.5 yr old Linksys WRT54GX2 has died, it was never a very good router as it would not hold a very good wireless connection. I have a several wireless devices to support. 1. ipod touch 2. Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray player with wireless for firmware updates and streaming Netflix. 3. Gateway laptop (3.5 yr old, G type wireless card). 4. Asus 1005HA netbook ( has B+G+N card). This past July I had a computer problem that prevented me from working and making money. I came here and found some wonderful and very patient people who walked me through the fix so I have no doubt I am at the right place for my question. Over the weekend, my computer refused to work saying it was infected with spyware. Hello everyone. I can't find a discussion board for electronics, so I feel that this is the second best place to possibly get some answers. I recently updated my unlocked/jailbroken Iphone 3gs from the 3.1.2 firmware to the new 3.1.3 firmware. I haven't gone online with my PC for along time, but I offten search online with my iPhone and sometimes bookmark sites I visit on my iPhone. I can then transfer or sink these to my PC when I connect my phone to my PC. I was just wondering if it was possible to also pass a virus to my PC via my smart phone? I seem to be coming here a lot lately with questions, but this time, I really need help. I have a really bad habit of leaving my computer on...all the time. Yesterday, it was running a little slow, so I restarted it and that is when I had a problem. It started up, but I got a message that atbroker.exe could not start, and another that explorer.exe could not start.....once I X'd out those windows, I got a black screen. Hi... I try to found my recovery cd's,I change my operating system and I did not make my recovery CDs,my problem is I do not live in the U.S and this pc I buy in the U.S... when I go to the HP to buy the cd's, the IP number will not let me to buy because im in Italy and in HP Italy this model is not existing ..I wonder if anyone can help me get my recovery cd's,Please someone can help me ....Thanks

in another OS opposed to just running it as a normal OS on its own drive or partition. I've only just installed it few days ago however one things stands out as a plus right off, no need to reboot to change from one OS to the other. Oh and I guess I just naturally assumed a valid key would be needed for XP even within another OS, I installed it and was never asked for my XP key? I have a dial-up modem on my computer. I leave the computer on most of the time. This morning I woke up at 4 AM to the sound of my computer dialing itself online. When I tried to cancel it, I couldn't. I ran the Malware and AV programs, both recently updated or installed at a shop. They turned up nothing. What should I be looking for in my programming? My computer had a problem and I had hard disc wiped clean. I am now missing my photo editing program. I think the one I was using was called Presto ImageFolio but it now looks like that one is no longer free. Can someone recommend one that is FREE please that I can download. I have Picasa3 but can't figure out how to get photos off a floppy disc using that one. My digital camera uses floppies so I need a photo editing program that allows me to get photos from floppies. Hi, You all have helped me with a few problems in the past so I need to impose once again upon your expertise. I have a Gateway laptop with Vista(ugh). For some reason I can't run Adobe Flash Player. hi, I bought a Philips 19" TV/monitor to replace the 15" Dell monitor. The picture goes off the screen, I can fix it by changing the resolution, then changing it back to my prefered resolution. It's just that I have to do this every time I power on the computer. Is there a way to save or fix it so that it stays this way even when I power off and back on? Thank you.
