My computer system is so messed up its unbelieveable. I've had it for 3 years and It needs a WASH OUT! I've never done anything like this before... i know how to defragment it and scan it and that but i need to completely clean it out now. for eg: so many times i've been asked to go to system32 and guess what?? I dont even have those in the right places! when i go to search there are so many WINDOW files and none are there after i click on c drive, there all in folders upon folders......

Recently at a Demonstration where I could not ask Irrelavent Questions to the Subject , I witnessed something that I've been trying to figure out how to do. How do you set up a folder - I belive it was in his Favorites tab - that when clicked on opens all URLs in that Folder in a New IE Window ?? Depending on what Job I'm doing - I usually have 1 or 2 IE Windows Open with 3 or 4 pages in each open. I have different ones for Movies -- LPs etc that I use for research when preparing...

im just curious, because ive had a number of people tell me how much better they are than pcs, but i just dont see it. granted, i havent used one in a while, but i tried them a few years back, and i never could get the hang of them. the icons looked funny and theres no right click and i couldnt figure out where anything was. im just curious if there is some real benefit to owning a mac or if its just a matter of personal preference (say, do you want a chevy or a ford?) Hi Guys - For the most part this new laptop's not too hard to figure out as long as I don't venture into the OS much. I do have a couple of teeny quirky things that are getting on my nerves. You know those .wav files that are installed automatically with a Windows install? I usually turn off the Windows Start and Windows Exit ones - hate the noises. Vista has them too and while they are pretty after a while they have me gritting my teeth. I found where to shut off the Windows Exit but...

Beware, seller cstechnologytoday is selling office 2007 as fully functional. It is not. Unable to do Genuine Microsoft Validation with message software is already corporate licensed and cannot be validated. I and others have been had. What does EBAY or Paypal do about this kind of illegal selling?????

My sister has a Dell 3000 with XP. It has two drives, a dvd and cd drive. Both do not work. Error code 39, with something about upper and lower filters not detected. I tried everything I could think of to get them or at least one to work and can't. They show up in my computer, and in task manager with no error ? on the drives. Had her delete them and reboot to see if they reinstall which they did, but still not working. Went to Dell, and updated the firmware, no good. Did what everyone...

Hello everyone! I'd like to start burning my own music CD's, but have no idea which site(s) is best. I've been told about some free sites & pay sites, but was also told to try to stay away from the ones who do file sharing. One friend uses a free site & says they have no problems with it. Another says the freebies (she mentioned Limewire) cause a lot of computer problems. Google searching had my brain frazzled there are so many! Can anyone here recommend a good, safe site? I'd so...

My uncle just replaced his computer with a new one that has Vista on it. Before he did this, he was able to send and forward e-mails that either had photos or pictures and I was able to see them. I have Windows XP. Now when he sends one, all I get is the box with red x in corner. He claims it is because our modems are no longer compatible. I am on DSL. Sounds bogus to me. Any suggestions that a guy who is technically challenged could be able to perform? Thank you.

my network was working fine until today. my pc thats hooked to the router is fine and gets internet. the one with the adapter does not. i try to connect to the network, it says it can't connect. i bought a new adapter, no dice. is the router the problem? we did have an electrical storm last nite. the router is blinking and everything. i dont know what to do. the guy at linksys spoke english with such a heavy accent i couldnt understand him and he couldnt help me. Please, for the love of feedback, read the policies in all sellers. I am a seller here, and I do not test anything unless otherwise stated. because I don't have all the parts, or I do not have the technical knowledge. In a lot of cases, I do not even have the power supply to turn it on. I sell everything as-is for a reason. and in most cases I try to get a fair amount, but not too much. I just sold a CLEARone max wireless to someone, at $89. The other ones are $400. granted the other...

I am getting sick of the electronincs scalpers. Walmart had a Compaq CQ5-139WM on sale for $298.00 this morning. Of course I see them here with people saying they are fair in the listings. Although, they are trying to sell them for 500.00 or so. Sorry for the rant, this crap just sickens me.

I have a samsung sync master 955dp 18'' I want to adjust the contrsst. It looks blurred. I have a folduot tray that has 4 buttons in the middle arranged in a circle and 1 button to the right and 2 to the left. What I need is an owners manual but maybe one of you know about the buttons and what they are for. Help.

My grandson wants a 10mp digital shaped like a SLR. But does not want one the size of say a Canon xti or a Nikon D90. I have been looking at a Fujifilm Finepix S2000HD what do you think about this camera? He is 11 years old and this is not his first digital camera. Thank you
