Hi, I found a doll at a yard sale she is marked Berdine Creedy 2002 526/600 she is african american, 27 inches tall, porcelain with a cloth body, she is in a semi sitting position. I e-mailed Berdine Creedy she said this was a home shopping network doll by Blackall Associates and that she came with several stuffed animals and sat in a chair. She could not remember her name. Does anyone have any info on her? I would love to see a picture of her in her original clothing. Thank you all so...

Time again for sharing the many and various pix of antique chinahead dolls... Please post your s too! Here are a couple to start off this thread. And because I think it is much more interesting to see what's behind the scenes as well as what's up front, here are some detailed shots of my "newest" old girl...a Kister covered wagon shoulderhead from approx 1850. 19 1/2" tall. The larger of the 2 ( at approx 25" tall) is a brown eyed covered wagon with circular nostrils, as well as molded eyes...

Link Hi! I'm mainly a Barbie collector but have started collecting other dolls as well--although my knowledge of these dolls is pretty limited. Can anyone help me ID the dolls in the pictures? I have an an opportunity to obtain them but I'm not too sure what I'm looking at. Does anyone recognize any of them? They seem to be 60s era but I don't know how to tell. In the case of the china dolls, are they vintage or modern reproductions? How would I tell the difference? Are there...

I often think how cute, or beautiful, someones avitar dolls are, and WISH I could see them better. Right now I'm trying desperately to get a closer look at Marcy&Dabbys dolly. If you are so inclined, I would like to see larger photos and an ID or the story behind the dolls you've chosen to be your "face" to the doll world. I'm going to go make popcorn, & wait for the show. If you don't have a sense of humor, you probably don't have any sense at all.

For the last several hours, I cannot search ebay listings. Anyone else? If so, must be pretty devastating to eBay sellers. I have no problems accessing anything else on the internet- nor do I have a problem getting into my eBay account- which is in good standing. I continuously get a page from eBay saying it is temporary- but I sure can't bid on anything, since I can't find anything! I know Goody will tell me to re-boot and re-configure cookies- but I have already done all of that...

Hi, Happy Thanksgiving. I am hoping someone might be able to help me with the old doll. I found her in a wood create with sliding glass top, so she has been on display and well cared for. She is about 20" and on her neck is the date 1913 but the marker mark before the date is blurred. Any help would be great. I have had her for about 6 months and I need to move her along to a new home. Thanks you.....cindasplace

I'd be interested in opinions: what actual effect do craze control products have on compo dolls? Would these products cause the compo to feel roughened and take away the nice patina/shine that many compos have? Have any of you had success/non-success with these products? Thanks!***************************************************************************** "I was absolutely mad for dolls. Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could further comment or ID these vintage Japanese Dolls? I purchased the first four together and the last on came from a separate estate. I'm guessing they are made of silk and from the 50's, but that is just a guess? I checked a search of JAPANESE GEISHA DOLL and I see lots of terminology that I 'm not familiar with.....The largest measures about 17" tall including her base. Would they be more sought after as a set of four or separately? Any...

She is only 7" high with porcelain head & bodice area, forearms/and bottom of legs, The rest being cloth body, upper arms & legs. . On the back of her procelain bodice it looks like I can make out part of GERMANY, but all of it, is not clear , due to it being white and the glare found it impossible to get the mark to show up at all...
