Anyone have any ideas how to decorate for Christmas and keep the puppys, kitties, from eating our decorating???? One thing I will try is to not put out my wooden manger scene...it is all wood...And since I have a new entertainment center, (df gave it to me) I can decorate that with some of the items that go into the other room...High shelfs and all... What are your ideas to keep new puppy/kitty from eating it all. My gf has new kitty who thinks it needs to do its business in her house,...

What kinds of food do you have in your house for Thanksgiving or what foods are you having at another's house for turkey day...?? Mom and I are going again to the Cracker Barrel, my da invites us every year to her house, well this year we were going..but mom changed her mind once again! So I hope everyone arrives safely to their appointed place for the Turkey and dressing, and has a blast with their family and friends. I am going to check to see if my fav thrift store is open today....

I just got this sleeper in the mail and am thrilled! The dress was all brown, so even tho it's still not vibrant pink and white, I am happy most of the brown came out of it. So I gotta question. Her wig is very fragile. Is there any safe way to clean it, or should I just leave it alone? I am assuming her dress is original to her. It is not tagged but it closes with a hook/eye and looks vogue to me? ------------------------------------------------

Hi Everyone, I found a local newspaper ad on a few old dolls. One is a Kestner 161 mold. Her body, hair and clothing are not original but the head is in excellent shape. I couldn't find one without the original body on an eBay search. The asking price is $150.00. She also has a couple of antique 6 inch german 1/2 pin cushion dolls. I'm headed over to look in a little bit and I was hoping to pick your brains on values? I promise to post pictures and share if I decide to buy them....

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. You all are wonderful! So...I left my doll out in my room and my cats tipped her over and licked her hair...Or whatever...I'm not sure what they did to it, but she's got a "cow lick" kinda looking thing. I've combed it out, but I am wondering how to curl it? Will the hair melt if I use a curling iron or should I just put little curlers in? Her wig is the original- antique mohair, and I'm afraid to ruin it. I should have taken a...

Can anyone help me with information about this doll? It is an african american, anatomically correct male vinyl baby doll with brown sleepy eyes. He has a removable plastic pacifier in his mouth. It is stamped "Baby Bimbo" on one side and "Furga" on the other. His hair is molded into his head and he has long dark eyelashes. He is approximately 16 inches tall with full jointed arms and legs. He has on a diaper with happy face balloons on them and he wears a red, white, green with black 2 piece...

In a word association test, the researcher presents a series of words to individual respondents. For each word, participants are instructed to respond with the first word that comes to mind. Freud believed that such responses provided clues to peoples' personalities (free association). Cognitive psychologists, however, use this procedure to investigate how semantic information is stored in memory. Answer the previous post, your answer becomes the new trigger word. me first.......

I'm not a doll collector, I just have some old dolls that I would like to sell. I've started looking for similar dolls on ebay, and am seeing the term "reborn" used for an awful lot of dolls, not just for the creepy lifelike newborns (no offense to anyone, I'm just a Betsy Wetsy type). There are a lot of dolls that are advertised as "reborn/play". I'm confused. What exactly is a "reborn" and when is it correct to use that term to describe a doll for sale?

I want to thank all who helped me on my way. I have three duffels yet to pack. My daughter did a toy drive for boys' toys and I will never get them all in, but at least I can relax that I have more than I had last year. Getting permission for the extra bags was difficult and for a while we thought we'd have to pay the $100 a bag. The person who had helped in the past used someone else who retired. But it looks as if that will be OK. Now the worry is Guatemala customs with the new 27 per cent...

I'm curious as to what your feelings are on this matter. Do you consider anything over the actual shipping charge to much or how much leeway to do you give. Let's say that you buy an item and it show a shipping charge of $13.50. You receive your item and the actual shipping charge was $8.50 but when you paid the amount you thought the item could possibly weigh more and that could be close to the shipping weight. Would you ask for a refund of the difference? Also let's say the item you...

I often think how cute, or beautiful, someones avitar dolls are, and WISH I could see them better. Right now I'm trying desperately to get a closer look at Marcy&Dabbys dolly. If you are so inclined, I would like to see larger photos and an ID or the story behind the dolls you've chosen to be your "face" to the doll world. I'm going to go make popcorn, & wait for the show. If you don't have a sense of humor, you probably don't have any sense at all.

I have had her for about 6 months and I need to move her along to a new home. Thanks you.....cindasplace

Would these products cause the compo to feel roughened and take away the nice patina/shine that many compos have? Have any of you had success/non-success with these products? Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could further comment or ID these vintage Japanese Dolls? I purchased the first four together and the last on came from a separate estate. I'm guessing they are made of silk and from the 50's, but that is just a guess? I checked a search of JAPANESE GEISHA DOLL and I see lots of terminology that I 'm not familiar with.....The largest measures about 17" tall including her base. Would they be more sought after as a set of four or separately? Any...
