Hi All, Previously on Half.com, if an item was added by a buyer to their shopping cart, the seller could no longer see and manage that inventory. The inability to manage this inventory often resulted in orders being processed on behalf of the seller with refunds initiated by the seller if he/she could no longer fulfill the orders. I ordered a book on 1/13/10 and paid for expedited shipping. The seller shipped the item 01/19/10 and sent the book via USPS Media Mail. I was hoping to receive the book much sooner. What is Half.com's policy on this? What is my recourse? I paid for expedited shipping and I expected the same. The book was shipped within the 3-day time frame, but shouldn't the seller have sent the book via another method other than media mail? I am not happy about this. I recently (a week ago) placed a claim on a book that I never received. Reading through some of the posts I noticed that Half will usually send an email questionning whether or not you have received the item as of yet. My question is, how long does this initial step usually take? I see that most everyone has stated that the refund will usually arrive within a couple of weeks of that initial email from Half. Just curious.

I recently ordered a game from somebody, they claimed that they ship immediately. I emailed the seller the day I ordered it and its been a week and still no reply...? What Happens if a seller lists and item, they quit half.com, then someone buys it...? Ebay has an option to get the phone number of the person... For some STUPID REASON Half.com has no means of contacting the seller besides email. Can someone please help me with some answers here? I don't feel like losing $50.

Hi everybody, I purchased a text book for my class which already started and got expedited shipping. I emailed the seller right after asking if they could do a fast shipping and they didn't reply after 24 hours so I sent another email...no reply yet again so I sent another one asking to cancel the order because I just decided to place it somewhere else. They emailed me back saying they never even knew I placed an order and they didn't know how to issue a refund at all so I should just go...

I purchase a book for school on January 21st and they said they shipped it on the 22nd or 23rd. I will give it another week or so and see if the book comes or not, but if I don't receive the book and the seller says they shipped it, What do I do?

I see the annual Ebay "Unsettling the Marketplace" announcement is out, with all sorts of changes to the Fee Structure.... Have we seen any such Half announcements? Sorry, I am not a regular ebay user so I am not sure what the policy is in posting usernames. So for all intents and purposes I will call the suspect "mr. x" . Ok here is my dilemma folks.
