From personal experience, I can tell you that this time of the year is really hard on our troops abroad. Please take the time to send our troops a little personal hug. If you choose other, you can write your own message. TIA LinkSandyThe above post is based on my opinion. My opinion changes with each new learning experience.

Hi - How's it going. I have been trying to identify this type of bird. I was thinking maybe one of you Native American collectors might be able to help me out. I'd appreciate it. Here's some pics. I think its Navajo but could be Hopi I guess. I've been checking both w/no luck yet. I have to make my run to the post office. Be back shortly.

I have a lot of choker ribbon necklaces. They differ only in color and the ornament on the front. I want to set up a single auction where the high bidder gets their choice of the say 5 ribbons I list. I have seen this done before, but cannot find the rules on this type of auction. Also the area where you enter "Quantity & # of items" in grayed out. Can anyone tell me how to turn this feature on and also where to find the rules for this type of auction. Thanks a bunch.

A little background so that you all will understand maybe why something that may not be worth much in terms of dollars & cents, is worth a lot to me personally! Some years ago I was invited to go along on a once in a lifetime cruise/tour to Alaska with my parents and sister. Turns out it was the last trip we all got to take together - mom died the next year and Daddy followed not long after. The only souvenir I bought for myself was a very pretty silver necklace with a tear-drop shaped...

I tested the metal on this and it is sterling. Nicer and heavier than the new ones but when I research completeds the prices are all over the map. Any one have any ideas on how to date it? Category in jewelry or antiques? Worth putting both places. Any thoughts would be appreciated. If I could figure out what makes one more desireable than the other (besides intangibles like the color of enamel) I could figure out a starting price I'd be happy with but I'm cornfuused....

I got this dog pin (he's about 2" long and about 2" tall) in a jewelry lot. He isn't marked and I don't think he's anything special but he is appealing and needs help. He's kind of scratched up and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make him look better. Thanks in advance.

Lets see what you've got listed, or are going to list. ( But don't hog the thread,*lol*.) Please no long drawn out descriptions, but length or width is helpful. If the piece is signed, just simply name the maker, or unsigned, or gold or silver. Keep It Simple. Please make sure your pics are no larger than 640 x 480 for those of us on dial-up.. Bring it on, ladies and gents!

Okay folks. The names have been drawn and will soon be on their way to you! Now for the fun part! Please post some ideas about what you would like or need for your Secret Santa. Since many of us have drawn people we don't know it will give them, and all of us to get to know more about you. Your list can contain whatever you want, but things like your favorite color, likes or dislikes in jewelry, favorite scents etc would be helpful. Things that you like or dislike...Decorating...

Whaddya think--D&E? And this one...West German? Would this be Nouveau? Would these beads be aventurine glass? There are little goldish sparkles inside the glass. Also--time frame? Am I right in thinking this is Lea Stein? And finally, this is sterling. The lavalier is in really bad shape--filthy, and the little pearls falling off because the wire they're on is disintegrating. The pearls are too yucky to salvage. Anybody got any thoughts on how to repair?...
