I'm trying to find out if there is an international flat rate box that is at least 5" in depth? The only one is see is the one that's 1-5/8" in depth. Can I use the domestic small flat rate box(shoe box) for international shipping and only be charged $12.95 if my package is under 4 pounds? What options do I have for the $12.95 price if I need more than 1-5/8" in depth?

I have a few BIG pieces, that I know I can not (or can I) ship thru any carrier. What would be effective selling techniques to sell big items such as furniture? Any help would be appreciated. Ex. I had one item up for auction for 10 days, maybe it was the price or the fact that it is pick up only, did not sell.

I haven't offered multiple shipping types (First Class vs. Priority Mail) in a while, so I was surprised when I tried to create an auction listing today and offer two shipping methods. EBay would not let me list different prices for those methods. I was listing 5 CDs, and the maximum in that category, it states, is $3. So you can't now offer more than one shipping method and charge higher for Priority? Dawn

I realize that this is basically preaching to the choir and that there are those that will disagree with it as a matter or principle. However, I have seen many posts on here that, if ebay takes seriously and implements changes to accommodate them, will have a significant impact on ebay and on the buying experience. This has already been shown with the feedback changes, the DSRs and the shipping caps. 1. Separate posting of handling charges This is not a good idea and would result in...

If this has been posted before and I missed it in my search, my apologies. I use Endicia to print labels. 'Wouldn't bother if I could print FCMI through PayPal, but that's a posting for another day.... I also use Auctiva to list items. I weigh them, and use the calculated shipping option. I do not add a handling fee to postage. So, in theory, what eBay shows as the shipping cost for my item in a listing is the amount the label should cost me when I print it. However, that is not the...

Hello to all. I am wanting to ship internationally but am faced with a problem. In order to ship internationally and be protected by paypal I have to have tracking on it right??? The only thing I see is adding registered mail to the package which is 10.80 on top of the usual 6 to 8 bucks to ship to them. This is a turn off for allot of overseas buyers... is there any other cheaper way to get to them and protect me through paypal at the same time?

For 6 years I've packed my lapdesk in nothing more than a large poly envelope- no padding. Breakage was rare. The woman at my post office was sending them along as 'Non-Machinable'. THEN several months ago- BANG 1 in 10 arrived broken. The woman told me USPS no longer allows items to go as 'non-machinable'- only some Priority, to limited zip codes, and NO Parcel Post. Of course I pad them now and it cost me more... but I have a question... She told me, 'There must be a way around this...

I'm taking the lazy way out. Instead of doing the research, I thought I could get the answers I need here. I'm gettin unpleasantly surprised with the costs of shipping. To use USPS, is shipping priority mail the only way I can ship a large box of shoes and get tracking and delivery confirmation? Are there other methods that would be cheaper and maybe only slightly slower?

Can anyone tell me if the shipping calculator is ever wrong. I am currently running an auction and the ship weight is 13 Lbs. 8 oz. the box is oversized 2 irregular dimension at 25"X18"X12". I listed the option of USPS parcel and the calculator was calculating shipping at 50.00 + dollars from Alabama to Texas. When I logged onto the USPS website and did a manual calculation it was about 23.00 dollars. Huge difference this will kill an auction for sure. The same thing happened to me last week...
