was just going through my account activity fee page and noticed something goofy. i contacted ebay and got a answer that i thought was a joke!!! i had 2 listings come down at the same price....49.99....one got charged 3.06 and the other 4.37. 1.31 difference. they explained that one was charged different because one was listed as one of my "5 FREE LISTINGS" in the month. now a quick check. listing 1.......insert fee .15 for picture, free listing...sold for 49.99...charged 4.37 for fvf. total...

Hello, I would like someones opinion of what I am thinking about doing towards someone who bought a pair of boots from me and they weren't even their size. I am going to reimburse the sale price they paid minus my listing and final value fee. I did state on my listintg that there was a 7 day money back return policy. What do you think. What are the consequences?

I understand that I cannot sell OEM software. But, what about a restore disk that is intended to restore your original OEM software on a computer you already own. It would not include a COA. The intent would be to reinstall OEM OS software on a machine that had been infected by a virus or had crashed. In the event that the owner had lost the original OEM restore disk or had not created one. Wouldn't this be legal?

Although eBay doesn't allow sellers to restrict new users with no feedback from bidding, is it against eBay policy to put a statement on your listing that says something like, "your account must be at least 90 days old and you must have at least a 5 feedback before bidding/purchasing"? And should the buyers purchase or bid, can the seller have the transaction canceled so that the buyers cannot leave feedback on the transaction? It seems that we have the most problems with new ebay users.

I recently posted a guitar for sale and then eBay removed it for either a trademark and/or copyright violation. I think some key words triggered it. But before I re-list it, I need to know, on what grounds (specifically) the item was removed. Ironically, I bought the ALL the parts for the item on eBay. I also gave a full disclosure of the work I did to the item. It appears honesty doesn't pay. Here's the listing description, more or less: "Hey kids... up for auction is a Chinese Strat that...

Three Things: First, I have been selling on ebay for a long time. I've got 2300 feedbacks with only one neutral in 9 years. I have focused on maintaining high average DSRs which have always been above 4.9 with the exception of shipping costs which is always above 4.8. I never gouge on shipping, EVER!! Now with the change to TOP SELLER POLICY, suddenly I don't qualify because I apparently have 3 1s or 2s on shipping cost. There is no way you can please everyone, its impossible. Selling...

if I read right, a seller can't recomend insurance to a buyer to insure their purchase. I think that is wrong of ebay to drop that option.as a seller we can't rely on mail service to deliver.I've not only lost my merchadise, but had to give refunds for merchadise lost in mail. How as a seller are we to know that the buyer did recieve item then claim not to just to get money back? most of the time no feedback is left. I'm not saying that everyone is dishonest but in this day of age there are...

I sold a pair of used Persol sunglasses in the Clothing, Shoes, Accessories category, it was a buy it now for $55, in one category, a seven day listing, and it has free shipping. He paid and Paypal shows that now there's only $43 left. So let me get this straight... ebay and paypal took $12.00 from a $55 sale, (and this doesn't even include the final fees yet, those come later in the month), how is this right, it seems too high for fees? Does anyone know if this seems correct with the...

Fees are outrageous. If you sell an item for 160, the listing fee is $2, the ending fee is $7, the paypal fee is $5 to accept the 160+20 for shipping. $5 JUST to accept 180? What kind of BS is that!? This sh*t is far from worth it any more. Ebay; get the F out of CA, and move to a state that wont rob you of your money, then pass the savings on to us. Thanks.

I purchased an item that was clearly defective. I paid for shipping to get the item and I paid to ship it back. Now I have purchase price and s/h( to send to me )refunded, but the seller has the item and I am out 6.00 s/h for shipping it back!! That is soooo wrong! I am paying for their mistake. What is sad is some people know of the defects and hope that you will just keep the item so you aren't out extra and have nothing to show for it. Stores don't charge you to take items back if it...

Hi. I purchased an item from a top-rated seller. Prior to bidding, I asked her an important question about the condition of the item and she said there was no such problem. Since her feedback was perfect and she sounded so promising saying that she prides herself in customer satisfaction, I bid high with confidence and won. The item came with the problem that was not supposed to exist so I contacted the seller. She said she checked carefully but did not notice any (which is impossible to...

I won an item via the BIN option. I got the email that said I won but when I tried to pay, I get an item not found message. What's up with that? How do I pay for my item and get it shipped to me? I can't contact the seller because eBay says I have no open transaction with him even though I do. Any help would be appreciated...
