eBay was once a 100% auction site and perhaps the #1 internet presence other than pron - eBay changed how virtually everyone bought and sold. Then they had eBay stores. Then they bought Buy.com Then, somehow, they decided to make their 100% auction site "just like Amazon." But they already had that with Buy.com??? So what? ...they are integrating Buy.com into eBay and then forcing eBay to become like Buy or Amazon??? This is a tragic waste of energy and good will. Amazon or...

Let me start by saying I am in favor the change requiring sellers to accept payments via credit cards or Paypal. This change could help prevent fraud which helps all honest sellers. I have 2 points to make: 1. As for the wording in the TOS, I am not a lawyer but the word solicit may not be the word ebay wants to use in the following part of it's TOS: "Listings must promote a fair and level playing field, and provide an enjoyable and safe experience for buyers. Except as noted in the...

Society is going down the tubes as the consumer overextends their ability to pay for the things they want...not need. I personally would rather have a buyer that is financially within their means and has the ability to actually lick a stamp. Electronic transferring of funds only gives the consumer yet another opportunity to go into further debt. We live in a sissified nation to begin with where the lessor of efforts results in the greatest successes? I prefer a client to purchase my merch when...

I sold a pair of used Persol sunglasses in the Clothing, Shoes, Accessories category, it was a buy it now for $55, in one category, a seven day listing, and it has free shipping. He paid and Paypal shows that now there's only $43 left. So let me get this straight... ebay and paypal took $12.00 from a $55 sale, (and this doesn't even include the final fees yet, those come later in the month), how is this right, it seems too high for fees? Does anyone know if this seems correct with the...

I just waited patiently for my best offer to be accepted or rejected by the seller and didn't even get a response at all. It expired. I thought the seller was required to at least give a response if they used the "best offer" button!

I'm not a regular forum participant, but I just noticed this message in my inbox. The policy states that the first 5 listings each month will not have any insertion fees, but will have a final value fee of 8.75% or $20, whichever is less. The message claims that "The 5 listings with no Insertion Fees are especially helpful for sellers who may not sell in high volume, but offer unique and hard-to-find inventory buyers expect to find on eBay." I only sell occasionally, so this policy will...

I list correspondence, letters, and other paper items. I recently listed a letter that was addressed to Beaver Dam Depot, Virginia. It got kicked off for gross misrepresentation...When I asked why, I got the standard check this or that link, but no definitive answer. The town is a legitimate old town, and yet I realize the name could be offensive to some. Should I try relisting the item and leave the town name off, or misspell the name, tho the picture would have the town name? Any...

Hi my name is MiguelMedina of SingingTreeflutes. I'm posting this listing to let everyone know, and to ask for help to spread the word about ebays policy change, conserning Native American Flute sales. There is a Native American Artifacts policy, that has been modified, so that only American Indian people that are registered with a specific tribe can use the words Native American Flute. Us non registered people( many who are of Indian blood or part Indian blood), used to be able to use the...

I feel this function or feature falls on deaf ears. There are a few sellers that use hidden text or code in their listings that make them pop up when ever I search certain words. I perform an "Edit" & "Find on this page" for the word I searched and nothing comes up in the listing. I report them as listing violations Keyword spamming Hidden Text or Code Am I doing something wrong to get Ebay to take action on these sellers? I spent a couple of hours of my time reporting these listing...

SELLERS BEWARE-YOUR REFUND POLICY IS MEANINGLESS....NO TIME LIMITS on buyer returns will be enforced by PayPal, and buyers will get all of their money back-regardless of how long ago the transaction took place...including all shipping costs. PAYPAL will actually STEAL, that's right STEAL money directly out of your account. And there appears there is nothing you can do about it. I sold 5 coins to a buyer 2 MONTHS AGO. Buyer was happy with the coins and left appropriate POSITIVE feedback....
