When I ship a sold item I send a email to the buyer that says something like... "Your order has been shipped express mail. I hope you enjoy the purchase, and appreciate your business. By the way, if you find yourself ordering from us in the future, you might consider buying directly off our website www.oursite.com. The prices are better and payment is just as secure, as that is handled by Paypal or Google Checkout." Is this against Ebay's policies? I figured since I am not...

I recently sold a used ds and the seller is claiming the as was inaccurate and wants a refund. I listed the item as used "system is gently used but free of scratches and defects, crystal clear screens" The buyer did not ask any specifics and says there are scratches all over the body of the ds. It had some scuffs and normal wear and tear but isn't that what used means? I did not consider it to be scratched and I was referring to the screens . I don't think I should have to fully refund the...

I recently sold something to a long-time eBay buyer & seller. I knew the individual would probably re-sell my item, as it was a collectible and sold fairly cheap with a BIN. That doesn't bother me in the least. Could give a hoot if someone buys from me and then re-sells an item. What does bother me is that, I checked out this individual's items for sale... Yes, there was the item I had sold. BUT the thing that really caught my eye is that this particular seller used my photographs of the...

Hi, I'm thinking about going over to the dark side and start selling things. I'd like to come in as a respectable seller and a fair one at that, so I want to make sure I present my terms correctly to avoid any headaches down the road. So far I know that if you do offer refunds then you have to comply with PayPal's 45 day policy, regardless, right? What about if you offer to pay return shipping or refund the original shipping under certain circumstances? Does eBay or PayPal have any...

I recently had more than two dozen auctions of the same item listed. Each item indicated calculated shipping and handling based on location, but generally came to about $4.75 per item total and this was the amount displayed on each auction. A handling fee of $2.34 was included in this amount, which represented the cost for packaging, delivery confirmation, and labor (these items were fragile so the packaging was higher). I was contacted prior to the close of the auctions and asked if I...

My listing was remove because I write in my description "we give positive feedback upon received payment" But Ebay did allow seller to give feedback upon received payment by setting auto feedback in the Selling Manager Pro. What is this Ebay policies? Ebay allow seller to do it and receive fee for the Selling Manager Pro Service but not allow to write it in the description. ????? My listing was remove, Then Ebay is violating its own rules by allowing Selling Manager Pro to do it.

I have an ebay member who won an auction for something I was selling. Within 7 days I noticed I didn't receive payment for the item. So I emailed them saying that if they needed more time to come up with payment for the item then let me know. Right away I get a message back from them saying, "Hi, I m sorry but i m not interested in this item any more so you should put it back on sale....I am really sorry for the trouble." I told them that I would leave them a negative feedback but I...

I have seen the following on several auctions. Is there any truth to this? I tried to find the info in the policies section, and could not find enough to support all of the following statements. **IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT FEEDBACK** Please make sure you leave a rating of "5" on all detailed sellers ratings (DSRs) when you are leaving feedback. Ebay recently made changes to their feedback system where sellers can suffer SEVERE penalties if anything besides a "5" is left and you may be hurting...

Example - cell phone - a seller indicates via messaging that the ESN is clear and can be activated, but this is not stated in the listing proper. If the ESN turns out to be bad, would I have a remedy? Thanks

Amazing how many seller still aren't aware that ebay is promoting other sellers merchandise on their active auctions. Someone else's merchandise on MY listings. Right. Look at the bottom of your active listings, if you haven't opted out of the program (a sneaky default you have to turn off) then you'll find "similar picks" on your listing. Ebay has created a conflict of interest. They're using the page I pay a listing fee/final value fee to them for MY use, to sell someone else's...

I've had a buyer contact me almost three months after the end of auction about an item. Instead of asking for a refund, they resorted to name calling in the first message. I offered a full refund but they won't take it as "it's not worth their time". Positive feedback has been left by both of us (way back when), but now I get these derogatory comments. Is there a way to report this? Thanks in advance, Eradik8

user gogamerscom in auction 190348990931 which is one of many apparently, offers to sell an item "Game may or may not include instruction booklet(s) and additional demo discs (if any)." this is clearly an attempt to leverage the possibility of getting something against the reality that you have no idea WHAT you're getting. i asked about the specific item and the answer was that they would not give me an answer. i don't have the time or inclination to see what rules this is against, but...

E-bay has a report form to report listing violations of individual items. Is there a way to report an E-bay store for a violation of the links policy? I went to "pet supplies for less" an E-bay store. On the home page in two places there is a link www.pet-supplies-for-less.com. The link is to a currently incomplete website; however the external site offers free shipping on orders over $75. Their E-bay store offers free shipping over $150. The external (www) site is not in operation now, but I...
