I won a item and e-mailed the sell asking them to let me know when he was shipping and the tracking number. Have sent 2 e-mails and nothing back. I looked at his feed back and seen he listed a item that looks like the one I won and sold it also. used the same pics on the listing. starting to think I was scammed. trying to give the person a chance. Don't want to miss up his rating but I would like to hear from him so I know what is going on. any ideas Thank you...

OK, I'm not talking antiques now...just used stuff. In furniture, there is a rule of thumb that holds very true...that a piece of furniture is worth, used, 1/3 of it's retail price. I can count on this formula, almost to the penny. So I was asked to give an appraisal of an entire home full of furnishings, which is needed for tax purposes. I am being paid as an appraiser for this job. However, along with the furnishings, the spreadsheet I got includes an entire page of electronics,...

Today a consignor gave me a call inquiring about his auction: eBay item # 370292601322. I stated that the auction is over. At launch of auction, we sent him a notification (through eBay Share email) that his auction is now live. He claims never to have received an email, actually insinuated that we've never sent one. He was expecting a sale, somewhere between $700.00 - $1200.00 but the piece sold for $360.00. I again confirmed that we indeed did notify him and I'll have to believe...

Repost - this time leaving out some possibly sensitive keywords: Arnold, I'd love your input on this one. I also went through the Fraudulent payments link and reported the case. Buyer in TX left positive (glamorous) feedback for Chanel purse - obviously confirming receipt. Buyer actually has a high feedback score of 1896 and is member since Jul-28-05. Buyer does not appear to be seller - at least not on this ID. Our shipper unfortunately did not add the tracking info into...

I started auctioning for one or 2 people locally and I am about to take on a few more but it is now becoming very overwhelming for me to keep track of these different accounts, if it was just one person then it would have been a lot easier but with with more than one person, I am having a very hard time keeping track of who paid what fees, for which items clients were already paid, keeping track of ebay ending items, which were paid for and which were not, refunding issues, tracking info e.t.c...

I was told this in one of my threads and would like to find this person or anyone else who can help get antiques sold? Store is in Brooklyn, NY. If you head over to the Trading Assistant board, there's a great gal named Karen who has a full-time biz selling quality used furniture (lots of good antiques and designer stuff) through ebay. She's a whiz about handling the details, working with designers, freight shipping, how to describe, etc. As a matter of fact, she might be within distance to...

I am organizing a large children's consignment sale and thought about offering this service after our big sale for a second chance on items instead of them all being donated right away. Does anyone know of laws, requirements or other info needed to do this? Or suggestions on pricing, commissions...any world-le advice?

I am not talking so much about formal dropshipping arrangements. But I am a new TA, and not a "drop off location." So if I don't want to inventory all this stuff my clients want me to sell, in essence they are drop shipping for me. How has this worked out for you others? I suppose this is the essence of the TA program - that we sell goods that our clients ship out for us. Or are some of you actually insisting on taking custody of the goods before you list? I suppose clients might...

Today a customer in South Korea filed a PP SNAD for shipping overcharge of $11.64. Shipping was quoted on the auction page, however he read the package label - and compared the difference. Customer left positive F/B yesterday. What's there to do most efficiently? The question comes up if this is misuse of the SNAD process, or if it is an error, having gone this route!? - I have no problem refunding the excess charge - since it was an apparent calculation error. Our fee normally...
