New TA here, I have client that I've been working with since Sept. doing great, he's having fun and so am I. Making a little money. To date, he's only ONCE asked for any type of paper work. Mostly taking my email info on what's been sold and what I've shown him on a total (not itemized) print out of what the ebay listing fees were. Since he's local, we've been dealing face to face. NOW after 5 months, he's wanting a detailed itemized list of what was listed. He's also...

I have had lots of people wanting me to sell their items on eBay but have declined. Mainly because I do not want to show their sales as income for me. I have been thinking of doing it recently for some friends in need of help. Should I become a TA for just that? If I do sell for other people how do you not show all the sales as income for yourself? Do you have to set up other PP accounts? I thought this would be an easy one to find the answer to but I searched for an answer in the...

First let me say how great this forum is. My business partner and I have been using it as our guide as we look into a possible business model. The question I have researched and contacted ebay support who told me to ask here is how does a trading assistant change their pickup radius to nationwide? We are have an opportunity that would allow us to potentially offer this. If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it. Rich

A first time quandry for me. Item: original Mose T primitive painting. Upon receipt of item, I received an email from the buyer saying she/he was 'dissatisfied with the condition' of the painting. I replied and asked the exact nature of the condition she/he was referring to. I explained, if damaged, return to UPS and document damage...if item was not as represented, please tell me. No reply. I wrote six email since then, Monday February 8th, no email. I instructed buyer to return...

Today's encounter with a consignor is a first. I had a lady bring me 40+ dolls to sell. I explained the process, went over my contract answering all her questions after she took the time to read it thoroughly, listed and sold those that would sell then sent her an itemized printout and check for the dolls that sold. I had previously returned items that researching them showed they would not sell at this time and only listed those that looked promising. 60% of her things sold. Today she...

This was one of those Penny Saver type papers. They said they wouldn't accept it because they consider me competition. I found that extremely odd especially since they do accept consignment stores and auction houses. When I tried to ask questions, I got the silent -"case-closed" treatment. I wanted to ask if/when someone sells something through their paper, do they send someone to pick it up and ship it for the seller? The lady I spoke to, however, had no sense of humor. I guess it's eBay...

Just starting out and developing my marketing plan. If I approach a small local business to sell their merchandise, can I put their business name anywhere in the auction, like on the item picture? Any other advice about approaching small businesses? Thanks!

ok, what does the normal TA do, when an item is very large, would be a royal pain to move and store. I know it's customary to take possession of the item, but this thing is a sofa size 1970's jute box with over 300 45 records in it.

I've been using a program that I bought many moons ago. It's really great and I love it, but it is an old excel program. I put in each item that I sell for my client, the price it sold for, the ebay fees, the percentage due to me, etc, and it spits out how the pay pal fees are, how much the client is due, and so on. Everything is computed automatically. I just bought a new computer that isn't compatible with old Excel files. Is there something on the market that will do the job for me?
