Hello I just became a TA in Arizona. I've tried to find out if there are licensing requirements for TA's i.e. pawn brokers license or auctioneers license. Anyone know where I should look or call?

Hi everyone, Im not really doing TA work anymore but was asked by an exec at a local company who is familiar with our eBay store to check into this rug. He recently inherited it from his father who worked at Marquette U. His father has had this rug for over 20 years and it came as a gift from a church rectory there. He has not given me any identification details and I told him to try to find out more. What would someone look at with this to find out more about it? Are there spots where any...

OK, snipped this from another board, but I know we have at least one person who specializes in local pick-ups here, and I'd like some insight: [snip]I was reading the Paperless Payments workshop questions. One really good question was: If we have to also offer an electronic payment method for local pickup, how will the seller be protected from a buyer filing an Item Not Received because there is no online proof of delivery? Pink Answer to question is: This question has come up a few...

I've been on eBay since 2002 but more active in the last year or two and recently became a Trading Assistant. My simple question is can I place items for others on Half eBay as well? Would it be advisable? Thanks Mountainstarr

Hello Everybody. Has anybody on here signed up for this?. I don't think it's what I really want because I (if I ever learn how to do it) want to sell on my own as well as a TA for Ebay on my website.Got the website all made up and running, but not too sure how to list items of my own for sell. (if any of you know or would like to tell me, all ideas would be greatly appreciated). Only thing with this is, you have to be a Power Seller (I was one until people quit buying) and it costs you x...

Are you all aware that all of the links here on Ebay to try to locate a TA do not work? They all seem to want to open an Ebay page called ebaytradingassistant, but that page never opens and after trying for a few minutes it just shows a completely blank page with "Done" in the lower search bar. Anyone know of another way to locate a local TA?Lead, Follow or Get Out Of The Way!

I'm not sure exactly how I did this, but I'm assuming it came from one of my cl postings.. I featured some niche lines in an ad for antiques...for eames era...and ended up getting added, marked and question responses from overseas.... Apparently, there are specialist dealers in the US with buyers in the UK. Looks to be a trend. Wanted to share this connection if anyone can do anything with it. We ended up getting added on our social spaces like twitter, etc., from the US dealers...

eBay has been focusing on bringing in new buyers*. They want to make the community "safe" by regulating their sellers. IT IS NOT WORKING! They are only making it harder for the honest sellers to make money, which is causing them to leave. The scammers are here, and will always be here! eBay needs a new approach - educate the "new buyers". How many times do we hear about the horrible experience a new buyer has. eBay needs to make a short quiz for buyers with low feedback to take. Make...

Hi everyone, I'm trying to earn the reviews and guides pencil, so buyers will be able to find my reviews. I need some folks to go and vote that it was helpful. If you go to my Me page, and scroll to the bottom, there's a link for reading my reviews and guides. All help appreciated!Karen

This might seem like an odd question. I am seeking counsel from some veterans. I sell for a number of clients. A WIDE variety of items. Some I put into auction and some into my store. I’m seeking to not spend so much time on trying to figure out when the best time is to launch an auction item. I do have a membership to Terapeak, but I also have noticed that things in auction sell at many different times of the day and on different days. My feeling is if someone really wants an item they will...

Good day, my dear veterans of the business: I am looking for serious advice as I build the momentum to start a business as a liquidator and trading assistant. I plan on using Amazon, Craigslist, eBay, a physical storefront, and eventually a Web site with a shopping cart as individual tools for selling the items. I ackowledge that each market has strengths and weaknesses. What should I know as I get into this business? What are my greatest tools and most valuable resources and do I...

Hi Everyone I'm having the time of my life with this new work. Going so well! A few days ago, the owner explained to me that they do estate sales, and I'm promoting that service in a few different ways. Does anyone here do local marketing for services like that? I'd like to explore a few ideas and see what works well if someone else is doing something similar. Thanks, hope everyone is staying warm!

I'm trying to decide what to do about shipping insurance. They seem to have a good program, easy to use, integrates with eBay & PayPal, and much cheaper rates than USPS. Does anyone use them, or another shipping insurance company? What is your experience?Kim Red Raider Net Trader
