Delivery Confirmation - Only a Name

Delivery Confirmation - Only a Name

Is delivery confirmation legit or only a name?  I received a neutral today from a buyer who claims they never received the item (they also gave out 9 other neutrals today for the same reason).  I contacted ebay customer support about this and they instructed me to communicate with the buyer to see if they would revise their feedback.  I specifically asked if they would still be allowed to open an item not received case against me since I have a tracking number that says the item was delivered.  The eBay rep responded YES THEY CAN because the tracking number only shows that I sent the item and NOT that it was received by the buyer.  He used the specific example that the item could of been delivered to an address down the street.  So according to this EBAY REPRESENTATIVE delivery confirmation means NOTHING.

That's odd, I just saw another thread where two pinks told a poster DC would protect them. Now you call customer service and "Peggy" tells you DC doesn't matter. I wonder how many new sellers refund a buyers payment after they are done talking to "Peggy".

Buyers: Be kind to new sellers. They may make a mistake but is it really worth tearing them down?

Hi strugglevilleauctions,

Thanks for your message.  Buyers are able to file eBay Buyer Protection cases whether or not a seller has tracking to show the item has been delivered.  However, if a buyer files a case for an item not received and you have tracking that shows the item has been delivered to the buyer's address, you will not be held responsible.  Keep in mind that if the transaction is $250 or more, you must ship with signature confirmation as well.  Also keep in mind that you must provide the tracking information in the case details before the case is escalated -- so it's always best to respond immediately with tracking if a case is opened.

Sincerely,

Lexie
