Q:  Are the updates to the multi-variation process limited to items in Clothing, Shoes & Accessories?

A:  The changes announced in the Fall 2012 Seller Release will apply to all categories that currently have multiple variations available.  We used examples from Clothing, Shoes and Accessories to illustrate because they will be the most impactful in that category for both to sellers who want to use variations and to buyers shopping there.

Q:  Are you going to add more categories for multiple variations?

A:  We agree that multi-variation should be available in more categories to provide good experiences to both sellers and buyers.  There are some internal constraints that prevent us from offering multi-variations in particular categories, but we will continue to expand multi-variation support in other categories where possible.
