Q: What should I report a buyer???

A: When a seller reports a buyer, it helps us take the proper action with buyers in 2 ways:

It helps us see suspicious activity faster. Since we're looking for patterns of this type of buyer behavior, reports from our selling community allow us to detect those patterns more quickly. For example, if 2 sellers a problem claim from a buyer, that will carry a higher weight in our detection algorithms than than a buyer that just filed 2 claims.

Reporting a buyer gives eBay insight into problems buyers may be causing we normally wouldn't see. For example, a buyer that may be returning the wrong item to a seller, normally eBay would not be able to see. Again, if we're able to see a pattern of this behavior from seller reports, we can quickly take action on this buyer before causing more harm to the selling community.
