Several of my auctions have ended where a winning bidder swooped in at the last second and refused to respond to my requests for payment.  I get a cryptic response or no response and have to jump throught the hoops for Ebay to refund my fees.  No penalty to the bidder and more work for me.  No negative feedback allowed and weeks go by before the case is resolved.  I want immediate action before the f**kers can set up another account and mess with us again.  This activity seems to be a game for the uninsured.  I want to nail them and throw them off the site.  Comments?

I agree this has vastly increased lately. I am getting more and more of the non-payers. I understand 3 strikes and they are out but they just come back with a new name. I think you are correct that this is a new hobby for people with nothing to do.

Not just this they have more than one user id, and when I go through all the hoops and report one user id, and block that one, then they come right back with another. Recently am dealing with one that I had to report after we closed the case in our favor, and they came back bid on the item, won and Trust & saftely told us to handle it one way, which now means we can't report her as a non-paying bidder and we still have to wait til they manage to say the accounts are the same.  Even though the billing names, addresses are the same on both the old user id and this other one! This is crazy! We have to wait 1-2 weeks for them to figure this out! what is up!  All she has to do is send an email to me and I can figure it out!

Thanks for the comments.  Please continue to report non-paying buyers via the resolution center or the Report a Buyer portal (www.ebay.com/reportabuyer).  Our monitoring systems include reivew of non-paying buyers as part of their buying activity patterns, member-to-member message content, and reports submitted by our sellers.

When we take action to stop these buyers based on these patterns of behavior, eBay removes any negative or neutral Feedback, or low DSRs received by sellers. eBay will also not count any buyer protection cases toward your seller standard rating in these situations.  You can see this information on your seller dashboard.

We also have a team investigating buyer's usage of multiple account id's.  I'll forward your concen onto those teams.

Thanks,

Jonathan
