Common Q & A on eBay Catalogs
May 7, 2010 04:22 PM
We're compiling many of the common questions and answers regarding several of the changes introduced in our Summer Seller Release Announcement on April 27th. They'll be posted in threads like this one and tacked to the top of the board to make it easy to find information (instead of having to comb through all the various discussions). These are actual member questions and staff responses, with some slight cleanup to make them easier to read. More topics will be posted in the next few days. For more information, make sure to review the complete details of the 2010 Summer Seller Update. Thanks, nino eBay Community

Q: Can someone please explain "new rewards for sharing your pictures to enhance the eBay catalog?" Last year, we introduced a program through which sellers could submit their own product photos to be considered for inclusion in the eBay product catalog. In return, sellers whose photos were selected received an attribution and a link to their My World page on the product details page for that particular item. Now we're increasing those rewards. Starting in July, if your photo is selected to be in the catalog, you'll get the benefit of 5 free Subtitles in addition to the attribution. The 5 free subtitles are in addition to the attribution you'll get on the product details page (i.e. the page with the item description from Catalogs). We'll clearly attribute, near the image that you contributed to the catalog, that the image was originally from you. We'll also have a clear link to your eBay My World page. More buyers are likely to click their way to your page, and thus find more of your items. This higher exposure is a key benefit in addition to the 5 free Subtitles.
