Want to do a ME page, but don't know where to start? It doesn't take a lot of complicated code to have a nice looking page. Yes...you can do it! And you can also use this as a guide to create your auctions.

This step-by-step is the first 7 posts of this thread. Follow along as I show you a in a few simple steps, how you can have a nice looking page. Please click on the links in the following posts as we:

Format your text.

Wrap it in a table to rein in those text lines.

Add some links to your auctions, feedback and email through eBay.

Add some elements to visually break up the page.

Add some color.

Add a picture.

First we are going to specify the font face, the font size and the font color using a font tag. Then we will put your text into paragraphs using a paragraph tag. Between paragraphs, you can use <br><br> which will drop the next words down one line for each BR.

The font can be changed to any of a number of fonts that people will be able to see. Check this link for a list of those fonts.

Did you notice that your text went clear across the screen in long lines? So now we are going to wrap it in a table to shorten those text lines so that it is easier to read.

But you think it looks B-O-R-I-N-G? Now comes the fun part...let's add a little color. Are you Color-Challenged?

This is great site (IE only)...click around until you find a color palette that you like and copy the 6-character hex codes that represent the colors in the palette. We will use up to four of those hex codes in the table tag at the very top of the code.

Hello Zip

I'd like to add a table to my Me page and put the names of some of my favorite stores / people's pages into the boxes. I'm thinking the table would probably look good about 3 wide. Is there a way to do this so that #1, it can be expandable or added to / #2 I can put the link in, but the actual text can look nicer (i.e. Link can say SweetestMorgan instead)? Thank you very much for your advice and help.

The table will expand in height as you add more contents.

Another note: Could I suggest you take the font size down a notch on the main text? I use generally use font size=3 or size=4 or even size=2 for the main text depending on which font it is. Size 5 should be reserved for titles -- it is too big to read comfortably.

I think I mentioned before that not everyone has Monotype Corsiva on their computer? I don't. So I'm seeing the page in Verdana Size 5...verdana is my default font.

LOL, I'm such a moron, but you've figured that out by now. I guess I never thought about putting it on the main page. Sorry. This is actually more what I'm wanting, but I can't figure out how to put it into HTML. I want to leave my group site where it is, but put this after the last paragraph. I want to put some friends Stores or pages that they're listings are on (URLs) in them.
