i am going on vacation with my daughter for ten days.

how can i set my ebay with message i will be away or something?

You need to have a store

Also please beware that it is possible for someone to make a purchase

Since you are away for a week,

That delays shipping

They ding your star and can still leave Negative Feed back

I pull my fixed price ads and have auctions that will end the day after I return

Yes, eBay made an announcement about 18 months ago that they had fixed the programming that allowed buyers to purchase your items even though your store was closed, but they did not.

EVERY time I go away for a week or more, I have problems with someone buying an item that is on their watch list, even though all my vacation settings are properly adjusted. And now it will directly my fees as there is no way to ship within one day from a thousand miles away.

I really wish eBay would fix this instead of wasting time playing around with the 'my world' page.
After all this does affect the much touted eBay "buyer experience" as much as it does the seller.
