Show Us Your Code...

  1. Please don't post your code directly into this thread.
    Instead, go to the HTML practice board -- Link
    Type or copy/paste your code and/or text into the white box.

Tell Us What You Want

Please tell us what you don't like about your page, what you are trying to do or what needs fixing, along with any other information (like your favorite colors).


Posting Your New Page

After we have worked on your code, we will post a new URL back here. Go to that URL. Please feel free to copy the code in the white text box and use it. Save it to a notepad document, as things don't stay up on the practice board forever.

Please note that your feedback/items for sale cannot be seen on the practice board, but if the special tags are in your code, it will display on your ME page.

Also please note that any images/backgrounds that we add to your page will have to be saved to your computer, uploaded to your own photo host and the tag in the code changed to your image host, as images on the uploader are only good for 48 hours.

Go to revise your ME page, select "enter your own HTML code," delete everything that is there, copy/paste your new code into the box, preview and submit. Voilá!

Oh yeah, went in a totally new direction. Took my logo colors.

Again thank you so much, this is giving me alot to work with. Hoping to get a template going so that I can use it with my listings. I've seen some real beautiful ones. I'd like to try and get ours so that it uses our current store colors.

Hoping to get a template going so that I can use it with my listings.

With those bright colors in your store header, which will be on your auctions, you need to find a template that won't compete with it. You'll want a very subtle template so that the item is the center of visual focus.

You may have to make your own template. I don't think it is going to be easy to find something that will go with that very distinctive header.

That's why I didn't use any floral or complicated backgrounds on your ME page.

Hi,
I have just gotten a background theme that I would like to use with my Store and Auction Listings.

Is there a way to include this on all my items without having to re-list them?

I don't know how many auctions you have up, but alas, there is no way to bulk edit your auctions. You'll just have to revise them one by one, or change them when you relist.

if anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it...
I am trying to make my about me page, and....

I want to put a background of teddy bears on my about me page, something that shows up nicely, but not overpowering...I guess faintly would be a good word.

I am so dumb when it come to this!

You can google for free teddy bear clip art. Observe andy requirements that have been set -- like requiring a linkback or for personal use only. When you find something you like, right click and save it to your computer, then upload it to an online image host like Photobucket.

Okay, I'd really like some help :)

I have a me page - and I'm okay with it...but I don't want it to list ALL of my auctions (or at least not so many of them) at the bottom of the screen ;)

What is the code to limit how many items show up?

Here are the options for the special ME page tags.

It appears that you can't limit the number of auctions directly, but you could have the same effect if your auctions are in different categories. You can limit the auctions shown to just a certain category.
