One of the best ways to make a Me Page attractive and interesting is to add pictures. But it is important to remember that pictures on your page will increase download time for dialup users...and there is still a very high percentage of your potential viewers on dialup. Limiting the number and size of your pictures will go a long way toward making your page viewable for everyone and fun to look at as well. Here are some links to pages that should help in your quest for the perfect Me Page.
Preparing Pictures for eBay
After taking photos for your page, some thoughtful image preparation will help you get the most out or your photos. Click here to learn more: Link

And here are some great tutorials by nktower on lighting, photographing small objects, editing (including cropping, resizing, and compressing) your pictures using irfanview, and presentation of your pictures on eBay. Even though the author used irfanview (a free download), these tutorials are generic enough to help regardless of the photo editing program you use. Link

A quick way to resize your picture online Link Image HostingeBay Picture Services doesn't host pictures for Me Pages so you will need another image host for storing and sharing your pictures on the web. You may be able to get webspace from your ISP at no extra charge, so check with them first. Be sure to ask if they allow remote linking from eBay and if there is a limit on your use of bandwidth. If you can't use your ISP, there are links to lists of free and pay image hosts at the bottom of shipscript's Me Page at... Link
Here is a list of some of the hosts that do not allow remote linking to your pictures (from Bob's Tips) Link
Something else to keep in mind about hosted pictures for your Me Page is that they will need to be hosted permanently. Image hosts that will store a picture for 14-30 days may be fine for an auction but not for your Me Page. HTML for PhotosAfter uploading your pictures to your image host, display them on your Me Page using the photo slots or your own HTML tags.
