Ad choice pop up ads

I want to get rid of these ads completely. They are bothersome and I suspect slow everything down to a crawl. I have been an eBay memeber for over 12 years; I will opt out or stop using ebay unless this is eliminated!!

I also agree we should be able to opt out completely. I opted out but still get them so why bother to have an opt out. I'm also thinking of leaving ebay if they feel they need to pull this kind of crap.

I AGREE WITH YOU THEY ARE THE MOST AGGRAVATING THINGS THAT HAVE EVER OCCURED FOR BUYERS. I RECENTLY HAD ADWARE POP UP ON MY SCREEN WHILE I WAS BIDDING AND BID $1200. FOR A $12. IBID BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE. NOT ONLY SLOWING THINGS DOWN BUT A TERRIBLE NEUISANCE.

FROM A SELLER'S POINT OF VIEW IT MIGHT BE AN ADVANTAGE, BUT IT CERTAINLY WAS NOT AN ADVANTAGE TO THIS BUYER.

I got tired of all the flashing ads while trying to read the news so I switched news web sites. Now ebay is doing it. I'm about to give up on ebay. Without auction buyers they won't sell any ads. Good bye ebay.

Where are you sending your complaints? I've looked and can't seem to find an email or physical address to write to. Just "live chat" (boy that's a joke) or a phone number to call. You know that any complaint made that way wouldn't even get to the round filing cabinet! It would never be logged at all. I'm so fed up with ebay and their greed, I'm ready to cancel my account!

I just did a search on Google using........
the Key Words- How do I get rid of As Choice pop ups on eBay...and this was the first link in my search. I can't stand all the ads. Besides that, both eBay and Paypal have gone way downhill in the past few years. Why, oh why, have they decided to ruin a good thing? Both organizations were wonderful a few years ago. They certainly aren't anymore.

The ads on eBay are so annoying that I am just about ready to close down my account. You go to the options button and there is nothing but a bunch of talk around. There is no way to really opt out. Opting out only means you opt out of ads targeted to your interests.
I would like to opt out of ALL their crappy ads. I will not purchase anything thru those ads. We pay eBay for the pages to conduct our business. You would think they would respect our want of not being harassed by ads we do not want. As often as I can, I go to their ad feedback and click on the Not Interested and Negative buttons. In the Additional comments section, feel free to let them know what they can really do with their ads.
Also, go to eBay help and let them know you want to remove the (B)AdChoice option. They will walk you around a bunch of options the wind up doing nothing. Then let them know how disappointed you are at eBay for allowing that to happen.

SPAM Spam (email and Skype)
We don't allow our members to send each other spam. "Spam" is an email or a Skype message that is both unsolicited and commercial in nature.
Unsolicited means the message was sent without the permission of the person who received it. Commercial means the message discusses buying, selling, or trading of goods or services.

If that is not what AdChoice is, I don't know what is.

Put this in the feedback. Not interested and Negative opinion of eBay. Maybe they will get a clue as to how intrusive and annoying they are.

This AdChoice intrusion is unacceptable. It is SPAM by any other name. It slows my browser and EBAY will do nothing. I've made calls to the EBAY lines and the robots say they never heard this complaint before.

It's raising my blood pressure and heart rate. If my Pacemaker goes off do I call my doctor or Lawyer?

All you gotta do is open a store. Then those ads don't appear on your My eBay page. It sucks you have to pay to have the ads dissapear. We pay every month to sell our goods, don't we? I know I do.

I am so very very upset over these Pop-ups. I have tried everything to get rid of them. You can't close them and when I am trying to work of look at anything they are completely in my way. I have to manipulate my page so that I can see the description for the item I am trying to list. I am listing to sale, and what is eBay doing but showing me what prices other sites are getting for the same item - which by the way is more that what I am asking??? So does eBay want me to open my own website and advertise like these people. I might come out better that way. But I can't keep going on with this - it is driving me crazy and I have enough stress in my life without having to put up with pop-up ads that I have no control over. To have ebay have control over my computer - really ticks me off royally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To get rid of Adchoice there is one solution!

I decided to use Mozilla Firefox as Browser and installed the "ADBlock PLus" add on.

Thats all!

Good bye to AdChoice, and not only in eBay but all over the web.

I generally only list high end antiques on eBay and have done so for over ten years. It seems so inappropriate to have a dog food ad pop up or an ad for an item similar to mine. I had assumed that my ad space would be inviolate and not be used to promote my competition or worse yet when I list a $4000.00 breakfast server that a dog food item would pop up! How disgusting.

"opt out"means "I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT THESE FREAKING ADS." get it together ebay or you're going to witness a mass exodus.

I never thought I would see the day when eBay would resort to such a thing! Ads in the middle of my eBay screen. This is ridiculous. Have you no respect for your members? What are you thinking?

Shoot! They are at it again. I'll make this simple. I will not purchase any item nor will I sell any item on the same day that I see an uninvited piece of advertising on my choice of pages on eBay.

internet advertising is pretty damn undesirable. As far as I have found, it only achieves one thing: It identifies companies that I would rather not have anythging to do with.

Behavioural advertising is just plain nasty and the expression "richer browsing experience" is like calling rape a "loving embrace".

Take a real life example: How would YOU feel if I followed you round the shops, making a not eof everything you looked at, so I could push flyers for selected products into your hand

Woud you

A) regard that as a "richer shopping experience"

B) Punch the living daylights out of the creep following you around.

Fortunately you can avoid (for the moment at least) this highly undesirable advertising. Just make sure ad-emea.doubleclick.net is included in your Hosts file.

See, for instance: http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hostsfaq.htm

Nasty is as nasty does

Behavioural advertising is nasty, nasty, nasty, NASTY

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes:  I keep getting a pop up asking for my zip code.  It pops up during searches and even within a listing.  It is so annoying.  Every time I close it, I lose my place on the page and it takes me back to the top of the page.  Within the listings, it covers the info in the listing.  If I sold on this site, I would be very upset, as you pay for a listing and ebay is infringing on your space.

I am a buyer here on ebay with over 500 transactions.  I purchase everything from cosmetics to furniture, to art.

If ebay does not stop with the pop ups, I will shop elsewhere.  I hate to punish sellers because of ebay's decisions, but shopping on this site has become a nightmare.

Is there a way to contact ebay directly?  Although, I doubt that would help.
