Hi Fellow eBayers, Here are some comments I would like to make about AdCommerce: 1. Just like any form of advertising, it will be more beneficial (and more profitable) for some sellers than it will for others. In terms of it's cost, you really can pay as little as you wish. Spending very little (on max. CPC and max. daily budget) will be profitable for sellers who have little competition on the keywords they use. This may be for sellers who offer a very specific and targeted product (or category of products or services) and intend to target a very specific buyer. 2. The biggest flaw thus far with AdCommerce is its reporting features. But as the AdCommerce Blog's recent posting about a future ROI tool indicates, the reporting is going to get much better, hopefully soon. But, even with the current reporting tools, as long as sellers are conscious and stay on top of the impressions, CTRs, and bid ranking on the keyword level, there is no reason this tool cannot be at the very least neutral to all sellers. Obviously to larger sellers who are competing for buyers both on and off the eBay search pages, AdCommerce will be costly and require a lot of time and attention. But if those same sellers have experience with other SEM programs, it may be worth just testing the AdCommerce waters using campaigns with finite end dates. 3. The ratio between max. Daily Budget and max. CPC also seems to be critical in achieving results and reports that are truly representative of whether this tool can help you as a seller. Comments I have read about using a high max. CPC and still not generating a lot of impressions may have a lot to do with not using a correspondingly high max. Daily Budget. There must be a ratio that some sellers recognize and use to make AdCommerce efficient and effective for them. -OmH
