... to help get us out of 'kill Emily' mode. LOL!

I don't "hate" her, but I am exasperated with her. She has the face of an angel (seriously she does), but seems to have a heart of stone when it comes to animals. And I haven't appreciated all the "little fibs" she comes up with. She has conflicting stories all the time.

I'm hoping that someday something will change within her.

Also, hoping I don't have to cross paths with her again to try to put out more fires she wasn't responsible enough to control. But, I really don't think it's all her fault. She's young and can't control the actions (inactions) of her parents and neighbors.

I will email her today about the male kitty in her park needing help - hopefully from Carol's Ferals. They are a dedicated and wonderful organization.

wish we had a Carol Feral's around here. I cannot get anybody to get back to me on MK.

Fed MK breakfast this morning and it was funny to watch him smacking and licking his lips. He's such a pretty boy.
I did get him on petfinder yesterday in the Found section but also put I haven't been able to locate his owners. They let you do a lost or found ad for 14 days, other ads I think you have to be with a shelter to post.

he'll probably end up staying here like the rest of them.

(((((((((( Funi ))))))))) :-x

Thank you for doing all you can for him! That's so sweet that he was smacking and licking his lips. HE IS A PRETTY BOY!

Not sure how far I can get with Carol's Ferals. They are flooded with requests and have been posting ads like crazy on CL to adopt their kitties because they need to make room for more in need. Such a sad economic situation nowadays. :(

Well, hope it's a happy one for everybody!

Have you decided on names yet for the momma & new babies? Ya gotta have something to call them, besides 'here kitty, kitty'.

That 'ceiling cat' wannabe, looks exactly like yours. Well, as far as the face markings go, can't see the rest of him. Are they getting a bit more trusting this a.m. & letting you get closer? More pix if you can! Yes, the poppa cat needs to be fixed too. Would like to see what he looks like, to be making such similar looking offspring. Obviously, Momma's gene's are dominant.

Had to brush several knots out of Gaby yesterday. Her hair was never a problem before, but now that she is older she is getting knotty around her hips. Maybe she's not as flexible anymore, to get to the way back part & groom?

Hi Handme! It's been a happy Tuesday so far! Cute gif!

No names yet - too soon, I think. I've often wanted to use the name -- Layla -- for a female kitty. You know like the song by Eric Clapton? I've always LOVED that song in his slower version. I'd find the music, but my computer sound isn't working right now. Here are the lyrics ....

What'll you do when you get lonely
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been running and hiding much too long.
You know it's just your foolish pride.

Layla, you've got me on my knees.
Layla, I'm begging, darling please.
Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.

I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you,
Turned my whole world upside down.

Chorus

Let's make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don't say we'll never find a way
And tell me all my love's in vain.

BUT .... I'm thinking Layla is maybe too close to Nala? Nala definitely knows her name, and I'd hate to confuse them. I think it will be a few days before I can observe their purr-sonalities and figure out a fitting name.

The babies are still aloof today, but it's gonna take a little while. They love their little nook in the ceiling. LOL! I watched them (through the door window) play last night with the tunnel and various other little toys. Too cute! Tonight I'm gonna take a long wand with feathers on the end and try to entice them to play with me. The little "Jeremy Mini-Me" let me touch him today, but he wasn't real pleased about it. :)

I did take some pics today and will post them as soon as I get them cropped. They are adorable!

can't wait for pics!

the feather on a stick is a BIG hit around here with the kitties and also the tunnel. I am afraid if Bogie doesn't stop eating like a pig, he's gonna get stuck in it, lol.

oh shoot, I can see me standing on the ladder and trying to get MK to play, lol

not sure who got me sick but it's getting old. Slept all last week and didn't get anything done. Then last night started running a fever so I am draggin butt today.

wonder if it was 9K that gave me cootie germs?? lol, just kidding 9K

LOL Sunny....that one was really funny!

Yes, we must let the bitternes go....it is just hard to see animals struggle with NO help from some humans.....they have ONLY humans to depend on.....Sunny, you are truly an Angel from Above.

This is why they come to you!!!

I have been sleeping most of the day. I had a flu shot a couple of weeks ago for the first time (just the seasonal one) and I feel awful. First hot, then cold. I have to look up the swine flu symptoms as my legs, feet and arms feel so tight and are difficult to move.

My husband said (Nala or him as we agreed to no more furbabaies with my health). It was a most difficult choice. My little Alli just loves your kitty pics. Shye asks everytime she comes over.

Back to bed for while.

((funi)) Who me???? Not me, gave all my cootie germs to the old hateful lady who wanted to borrow my kitty carrier to get "rid" of a cute little baby. Grrrrr, hope she keeps the germs too. Sorry, when someone blatantly shows their true colors, I am thru with them.

Looks like you will be keeping MK, you old softie (thank goodness). Bet you won't have mice in your attic this year.;)

((sunny)) Great that one of the little ones barely tolerated being touched. They will be able to feel your love, they just have to get used to trusting. No telling what they have been thru in their short little lives. Momma is so pretty, hope someone helps out with the Papa. Hope that GIRL changes her ways, cause we all have choices.

Hi ((handme, ((clinic)) and all of you guys.

Going thru some of my old pics, trying to find pics of my precious BitBit, and some of the old home place I was talking about b4. They probably won't be very good after I upload, download etc.

((lynn)) Just had to tell you what a beautiful pic that angel is.

Sure hope you don't have either of the Flus. Hard of those of us who have a few years on us.

9k, with all the kitties in the house, I still see mice now and then. MK seems to be a bunny kind of kitty. Might explain why we don't see as many bunnies now.

Lucy dog is soooooooo in trouble. I made meatloaf, mashed taters and carrots this afternoon. My blind dog was outside and I could see out the window she needed help back in so I sat my plate down (silly me) and when I came back in, ole pig dog Lucy had ate 1/2 my plate! She didn't touch the carrots though. It's actually our dinner for after we watch GD do her dance class but I was hungry and had some for lunch.

I think I will plan on MK going to the vet after Thanksgiving. That way he won't be in the house when the herd comes over for Thanksgiving day dinner. My poor CareCredit card is getting up there but guess a little more won't hurt. If he looks sick before then he will go sooner.
