So glad the F4 are home, & I'm sure they are happy too, as well as you! Crockpot chickie is a good idea, since they may not be back to normal eating yet.

Funi is that white one with black tail a chicken or a rooster? It's pretty but awfully big.

9K hope it's nice weather for you to be running around all day in the woods. Looks very gray here, either gonna rain or snow. Hope it holds off for a while, got a bunch of stuff outside against the house, that Sal. Army is supposed to pick up today.

I want a gun! LOL I have been known to carry an ice pick in the past, but that requires too much 'personal' contact. My oldest DD & BF gave a ride to some woman late at night last yr. When she got out of the car, she had one of DD's dogs stuck under her coat, they only noticed cuz dog put his head over her shoulder to look at car as she was walking away. They got dog back, but she was also a druggy who was prob gonna sell the dog for drug $. Scary stuff out there.

handme, that's a rooster and he has green legs. If he would breed and hatch a hen, then that hen would lay green eggs. Or so I am told anyway but he does have green legs.

Well girls, I am a whipped puppy. Am tired, wet, and soooo muddy.

Been in the river bottoms picking river greens, all the roots I usually dig for Carmen, just came out of the ground, it was so soft from all the rain. Thank goodness.

We also picked a bunch of peppers, different kinds, at a Amish family we know. They always let us have what ever is left after their harvest.

Then 2 stops at health food stores, had a van full of "food". Poor old Carmen was a happy camper, as for me, I went to bed when I got home.:^O Thank goodness I only have to do this twice a year.

((clinic)) Glad you know how to shoot, my Grandpa took me into the woods once (and the last) to let me shoot his shot gun. That thing knocked me backwards on my butt, and my poor shoulder was bruised for weeks. He thought it was funny. Was the last time I ever picked one of those up.

((handme)) A ice pick, wow. yep have to get too close to use that. Bet your DD was ticked off at that woman trying to steal the dog, I would have been.

It was so nice outside today, about 72 degrees, had to take my coat off once in the fields.

((sunny)) So glad your babies are home and safe, bet they are glad too. They will enjoy that chicke tonight.

bye for now

Hello everybody!!!!!!

Sunny, happy the babies are home and all is well.

Schatz, that is great about your mom and her permit. I think every state should allow people to carry, to be allowed to protect themself. All the bad guys have guns.

Sunny, how's the 'altered' crew this a.m.? Did they enjoy the crockpot chickie? They will be 'flying' again real soon, ya know how quick critters heal up.

'All the bad guys have guns.'

Right, Lucky! If we were all armed, at least it would be a fair fight! :^O

Funi, ya mean Dr. Seuss wasn't making it up!? There really are green eggs & ham? :O Two roosters, I think ya need more hens!

Nala and Missy .... :-x

.... for Lynn and 9K!

Hi Lynn! Thanks so much for giving me some background on Nala! It's so nice to know their history. Wish all mine could talk and tell me their story! :)

GREAT news on the dental bill! Quite a difference in prices between Walmart and the Amish store. :O

More birthday celebrations next week!? WOOHOOO! Can't wait until you can start taking pictures!!! I've got a Nikon Coolpix and really like it - EXCEPT it's too slow to snap a picture. The kitties are sometimes way across the room or turning their heads by the time it finally clicks. Hopefully, they've upgraded this feature since I got ours!

Thanks for the tip about turkey prices! Those are really good!!!

Sunny - I think that is the model I got, as well. The shutter time is 0.9 seconds and it has the anti-shake thing so it should be okay. I do nothing special with mine except for posting and printing an occasional one of the grandkids. Dawn's little kitty does not even register on the scale yet. You can put it in your pocket!

Dawn and I went to the other WalMart in West Branch this morning and got some more turkeys. I got 2 of the smaller ones. It has been a long time since I have seen them for 40 cents a pound and if you were using them for pet food, that could go a long way. Other than perishables, we are pretty much set for the winter. I hit the sales and get as much as I am able to store.

Because of my husband losing his job last year and my being on SSD, we get a bridge card, so if there is any left, I can contribute to the food pantry at my church or give food boxes to those I know need it but fall between the cracks.

These are my daughters, Lisa (25) and Melanie (28). Lisa went back to school to be a dental hygienest and Melanie just graduated from nursing school. Sadly, Melanie is in the middle of a divorce and has two children, Gabriel, who is 8 and Alli, who is 6. I also have a 35 year old who is no longer involved with our family by mutual agreement.

This is how Alli usually looks -
