OT: The New COUPONING Thread

Well, something happened with the old coupon thread. I got no notification that it was being pulled. So I am starting this new one where we can still share our finds, pictures, stories but please NO LINKS off ebay. That is the only reason I can figure that the old one was pulled. So lets continue the spirit of the old thread and help each other save money.

Couponing thread SWEET! I love coupons myself and I'm trying to figure something out. I know people sell internet printed coupons on ebay. I'm wanting certain coupons from coupons.com. There seems to be no listing for the coupons I want. Does anyone know of a way I can get these coupons/get someone to print and sell them to me? I have 2 computers which I print coupons from but I want more lol. Thanks!

Does anyone have a Sav-A-Lot close by? If so, you can score Kraft BBQ sauce for .77 this week. If you use the 1.00 off 2 Kraft BBQ in this last Sunday's SS, you can get them for .54/2 or .27 each.
You can also price match at Walmart if it is closer.
I picked up enough for quite a few for backyard BBQ fun this summer with my friends. I won't tell how little they cost if you won't?

Hi All!
FF - remember when I mentioned we don't get many beauty coupons in our region - for some reason? I guess we don't qualify for beauty in "cow country" as one of my friends from New York elequently called West Michigan years ago. LOL.
Well, now Target has this promotion, but we have no newpaper ads - like many do in other parts of the country. Waaaahhhh. And, my second coupon purchase from eBay didn't arrive. I'm really "skeert" of ordering coupons now. What bad luck - and both sellers had high feedback? I dread having to contact them now and go through the back-and-forth of all that - to make it right. All I wanted was my coupons. LOL.
Well, anyways, I do have a 1.00 Nivea coupon included in the Target gift bag promotion, so I think I'm off to try to work some Nivea magic tonight, so ....... thanks to Vetta for the scenario! ......
........................
Here is a super deal to grab at Target this week. Nivea items are buy 3, get a $5 Target gift card. You can mix and match as you need with the lotions, the cream tins and even the lip balms. Here is what I did ....
Buy 1 Nivea Extended Moisture Lotion $4.22
Buy 2 Nivea cream tins $.87 each
Total $5.96
Use - $1 off Nivea hand or body lotion, 1.7-13.5 oz, RP 4/15
And use – $1/1 Nivea lotion Target beauty bag mailer
Pay – $2.96, get back $5 GC
Final price – FREE plus a MM
You can roll the $5 GC after the first transaction.
If you dont have any coupons at all, its still a super awesome deal ....
Buy 1 Nivea Extended Moisture Lotion $4.22
Buy 2 Nivea cream tins $.87 each
ay – $5.96, get back $5 GC
Final price – $.96 for all 3
Or
Buy 1 Nivea Creme Tin $0.87
Buy 2 Nivea Lip Balms $2.24 each
Pay – $5.35, Get back a $5 GC
Final price – $0.35 for all 3 items!
- Note , you HAVE to buy 3 items totaling over $5 for the GC to prompt. This is Target's policy and how it is in the system. You Must get over $5 with only 3 items.

WOOOHOOOOO. These containers are AWESOME! I got a bunch of them the last time they were on sale and BOGO 50% off! Stock up time! Use them all the time!
25 cent Snapware containers at Meijer
BOGO 50% off at Meijer (prices start at 2.99)
Use the 2.00/1 coupon found in the 4/29 SS insert
Scenario:
Buy 2 Snapware 2.99
Buy 1 Snapware 1.50 (50%) off
= (2) coupons from the 4/29 SS = .25 each
Snapware containers are located in the Kitchen/Housewares department. Trust me, I know since I went to 4 different Meijer in our area to try to find them when they had the 3.00 coupon. Gonna get more - they are THAT good!

Hi Super Savers!!! Happy Monday! Hope you all found an abundance of bargains over the weekend.
THANKS FF, for yet another great heads up! Trotting off to Target Wednesday evening and will look around for those deals! LOL @ the kitties licking the screen.
Squealing with delight - Hi Manypaws - so happy to see you! Great price on the coffee! Wish I had figured that one out! I'm REALLY enjoying decaf coffee in the mornings with caramel creamer - oh yum!
I was playing around with some of my purchases from over the last few months and put together a (somewhat) color coordinated Mother's Day gift/goodie basket .... hope you all like it. Hope to make a special mommy real happy. Isn't couponing fun? I probably spent less than a dollar or two (or even free) for the contents and 50 cents for the basket ..... Hope to make someone smile.

This is what's in it ....

Just popping in to say hi! Sorry I've been awol, work is crazy busy and kitten season is heating up
I've been doing less couponing but still trying to maximize my weekly regular stuff. I did get 20 cans of coffee this week for the pantry with Meijer's $8 off 8 sale. They ended up being $1 each and I know will be much appreciated.
Hope everyone is doing well!

TARGET "HEADS UP"................
We had a "corporate visit".......& suddenly there's all sorts of marked clearance! But most of it is not on endcaps (due to the remodel chaos)-instead it's marked with a little "clearance" balloon-shaped tag on the shelf.
In the Market......it's "Tuna Takedown Time at Target"...a whole bunch of various brands of tuna (Chicken of the Sea, Bumblebee), including the white & fancy Albacore.
(I checked the exp. dates.....2014.)
Chicken of the Sea Lump Crabmeat , reg. $4.39 now $2.11
Chicken of the Sea canned Pink Salmon , reg.$4.39 now $2.18
(I bet the cats are suddenly entranced with the computer).
Betty Crocker Devil's Food Cake Mix
Welch's Black Cherrry/Concord Grape Juice-was $3.79, now $2.65
(the same with Welch's Cherry/White Grape Juice).
In Stationary...
Monster High Velvet Paint Sets
An assortment of journals
Also lots of Clearance in: Toys/Sporting Goods, Mens Dept.(especially jeans), & Womens Dept.
There's bound to be more in the back yet, waiting to be processed....if anyone can get to it.

Thanks for pointing out the 8 for 8 deal at Meijer! I didn't catch that one! Great savings, FF!!
This coming Sunday is P&G week, I read! Hope it's a good one!
LOL @ Tulip Time! Too funny. It's always a congested mess around here, too.
Let us know how your "kalettes" grow and how they taste. I don't think I've ever tried it. Always willing to try a new vegetable.
Meijerlings -Many Paws word ....
I was just reading this this morning .... The new Meijer Coupon Policy allows competitor coupons to be used as store coupons. Also, I read that some Walmarts are accepting Target coupons, too. Make sure to print out a copy of the store's coupon policy, highlight that part in red and keep it handy at check-out. From my experience, it's well worth having each store's coupon policy on hand. Cashiers can't argue with their own store's coupon policy.

I ended up at Meijer today to take advantage of the (buy 8, get $8) promotion.
In addition to the $8 off, I used $4 worth of coupons for the 8 items.........plus in-store savings/coupons for other items.
Total savings..$18.97.
I'm trying to stock up a little, so I won't have to shop during "Tulip H--l", aka Tulip Time. Bad enough that I have to drive to work.
What happened to the Sunday coupons in the GR Press? I got one little booklet....mostly full of stuff I don't need. Maybe after last week's "cold turkey" withdrawal, they figure they should start out slowly.
My MIL went to visit family, & brought home some kale. She says it's "very nutritious" (which means it probably tastes terrible). God knows, it looks weird enough....looks like something Fred Flinstone would feed to his dinosaur crane at work.
At any rate, she started a seed tray with about 200 little "kalettes". I either am going to be looking up kale recipes.....
....or there will be a tragic accident with the seed tray.
Whoops......![]:)](http://b.us-forums.lvwd.net/images/emoticons/devil.gif)

LOL FF. I have two brothers .... they were something else growing up .... so I think I might know what you mean. And, I thought my 2 sisters were bad.
Your dinner (as always) sounds excellent! Still writing down your recipes in my recipe book. I'm planning on making a pizza this afternoon. 1/3 ready pizza dough - topped with mozz. cheese, green pepper, mushrooms, onions, then sprinkled with parm. cheese. Can't be expensive at all, I'm thinking ....
hahahaha @ Today's "garden slug" could be tomorrow's "escargot"........
....if there's enough booze in the liquor cabinet.
Too funny! Have you ever been to the Kentwood Station in Grand Rapids? Years ago, I used to order escargot as an appetizer there all the time. The dish was sooooooooooo, soooooooo good sopped up with their garlic toast. Gotta run and make my pizza - tummy is growling at me now. LOL!
I just saw this on the Meijer Madness site for all you Meijer peeps ....
Woo-hoo this Catalina promotion didn’t end on Sunday! The trial size Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner & Hairsprays are still working on the $5.00 OYNO Pantene Deal at Meijer until April 28th:
Buy (1) Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner, trial size $1.00 Buy (1) Pantene Hairspray, trial size $1.00 - get $5.00 OYNO = $3.00 Money Maker!
The hairspray counts as a ‘styler’ so this will not work if you buy 2 shampoos, you’ll need the hairspray to make it work! This is a ‘store’ Catalina coupon so it will not “roll” but there are some super great deals at Meijer this week so this is a quick & easy way to get some FREE groceries!
.................................................
I could certainly use some 3.00 moneymakers for groceries as well as the 2.00 mperks that everyone is getting! Hope you all get yours. FREE GROCERIES!

re: Culinary Background.
The only thing I learned from that guy was how to duck. And with 5 brothers.......I already had a good foundation in that.
I think Revlon thinks "we don't need coupons.....the people who buy OUR products don't have to bother with such nonsense". Same with Physician Formula. Come to think of it, I think I've only seen one coupon for PF in the last year.....& maybe 2-3 for Revlon.
The rest of us "Barroom Betties" stick with Cover Girl/Maybeline or whatever brand is at BigLots..........myself, I am leaning towards the "spackle & rebar" area.
Last night's dinner was Italian Stuffed Steak Rolls With Italian Gravy.
2 small steaks, about 1lb. total.....cut off the bottom round roast I bought the other day......less than $2.
Got out the meat tenderizer mallet & beat them like a circus monkey.
(this not only tenderizes them...it makes them thinner & easier to roll up). Season well with salt, pepper,Mrs. Dash Italian.
Stuffing: 1/2 red onion, 1 carrot, 1stalk celery 1/2 red bell pepper....diced. (from previous on sale/"bargain bin" produce).....I figure about 15 cents total.
Mushrooms, diced ("10 for $10" sale at Meijer last week, the 8 oz. container cost me $1.....used about 6 cents worth.
Meijer Pasta Sauce (part of an earlier "10 for $10" at Meijer...$1/jar).....I used about 50cents worth.
Spread filling on steaks, & roll up like a jelly roll. Place seam side down in pan, cover with pasta sauce. Cover with foil & bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Made 2 servings.
Total cost......$2.71
(if you want to get fancy, make some polenta to use up the Italian gravy. P.S.: "polenta" is nothing more than a thick cornmeal mush with seasonings/cheese that some restauranter chages an arm/leg for.)
Little did I realize that I did not grow up a "hillbilly"....but in fact was on the cutting edge of Italian cuisine.
Today's "garden slug" could be tomorrow's "escargot"........
....if there's enough booze in the liquor cabinet.

LOL about the quarter at Aldi's. I always have to rummage around the car for one.
YIKES about your target store. A little chortle at "turtleheads." I asked our Target on 54th Street if they were going that way after you posted about it, and they said they will. I'll be looking forward to all that chaos!
In our area, Target is right across the street from Meijer and Aldi is just around the corner. I'm still preferring Aldi at this point - for produce freshness and price - oh, and convenience. It's so easy to breeze in and out. Oh, and the phenomenal customer service. Although, Meijer has strawberries this week for less than Aldi.
You have an impressive list of credentials! Hopefully, you will share some of your artwork in the future with us? A few years ago, an eBayer (artist) painted a portrait of one of my kitties. She did a really beautiful job. It's one of my favorites of all times.
You also have an impressive culinary background. That's where all your great and inexpensive ideas stem from!
Hope all you super couponers have a great day! I plan on picking up some deals and steals from CVS and Meijer tonight. Still waiting on those coupons .... can we say DISAPPOINTED with my very first eBay coupon purchase experience??? LOL. At the very least, the seller could have answered my last email ..... I was very polite.
FF, another one I thought about is that we rarely get the beauty coupons in our newspapers, such as Revlon, Physician's Formula, Nivea, etc. Do they think we don't use/need those items in West Michigan?? I thought about ordering them when they come out periodically, but now I'm somewhat hesitant. Coupons and weekly promotions are time sensitive.

We have two Aldi stores in Holland......I don't shop there much because (1) I buy such "oddball" things & they don't carry them (2) I never seem to have a quarter with me for the "cart corral"
The Target store I work in is in total chaos with this remodel.....the whole floorplan is changed around (you can't find anything), the "turtleheads" from the construction company always seem to be right where I'm working and, well........some of the "guests" (and team leaders) are being p---y enough that there may be a "accident" happening soon
To me, trying to run a business while you're tearing the place apart is the equivilent of having your house remodeled while planning an "at home" wedding....& hey, while we're at it, let's have a Tupperware party & a book club meeting too.
Target will be competing with Meijer (full service supermarket right next door) & an Aldi down the street ( cheap prices) for the produce market.....& we won't have the selection that Meijer has. Plus, since much of it will be "pre-packaged convience" produce, people aren't going to get to "Squeeze The Charmin" .....which in Holland seems to be a form of recreational activity.
Oh, & I was informed by some of the executives at my store that I was casting "negative comments" out when they asked me what I thought about it....& that I didn't have enough experience with consumers.
Let's see........
Been in retail (off & on) since I was 17.
25 years of experience in the produce business (raising, marketing, selling wholesale/retail....last 10 years dealing with "agritourism" business)
Before that.....
10 years doing art shows/festivals for a living.
18 months working for a catering business ( I left when the owner/chef threw a saucepan at me...& I noticed all the knives/cleavers on the wall. BuhBye).
......not to mention being a "consumer" all my life....as well as someone who watches people shop.
The average age of our executives at the store? 28.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

YIKES FF. Sounds like that free Aleve might be just the ticket for your fatigued muscles.
Ok, I can deal with the grape juice going up, but NOT THE WINE. Oh no!!! NOT the wine.
So sorry about the loss of your neighbor's crop and that your apples and peaches make it. Very tragic.
Smart thinking on the beef roast! Writing all these great tips down in my little book.
I went to Aldi last night for a quick (and inexpensive) haul of fruits, veggies and cheese/dairy. I ate a whole package of grape tomatoes today. LOL. Oooops. Do you have an Aldi, FF?
I just came across this deal at Target. They REALLY are good. The best that I've come across.
Magnum Minis $3.25
Use (2) 1.50/1 Magnum Minus printable coupon
plus, the $2/2 Target coupon
FP - .75 for each box of yumminess

I'm trying to recover from spreading the last 400 lbs. of fertilizer on the baby fruit trees......but at least the little buggers are done.
ALERT.....
since Michigan is a major producer of juice grapes (& the 2012 crop is considered a wipeout)........be informed that the price of grape juice will be rising. If you use grape juice & see it at a decent price, you may want to stock up. Same with grape jam/jelly.
Also, MSN just had an article about how the price of American-made wine will also be going up.....again, if you can get a good case deal, you might want to put some aside. European wines will go up even more.
My neighbor across the street has 40 acres of grapes contracted to Welch's.....& so far, he's lost about 90% of the crop. I'm not very hopeful for the apples & peaches at our place. Yet, the trees still need to be fertilized, sprayed, pruned & the grass mowed. What a bite.
Today I bought a bottom round beef roast for around $7. Now, since it was on sale, I saved about $3.50.
But......after I cut it into: 2-3 thin steaks (stuffed steak rolls in Italian gravy), stew meat, some stir-fry steak strips & a small roast.....I will have saved about $16 over buying it all "pre cut".

*** Walgreens FREE Aleve Alert ***
Here is a super deal to snag at Walgreens on Aleve. There is a surprise RR printing when you buy Aleve this week. They are advertised spend $20, get $10RR but a unadvertised $5 is also printing when you buy 3. Here is the deal.
If you got the $2 off Aleve product, 40 ct.+, excl Aleve-D, SS 3/18 you can snag these free, if not and you got the $1/1 then you would pay $.99 each.
Buy (3) Aleve 40ct $6.99 each
Total = $20.97
Use - $2 off Aleve product, 40 ct.+, excl Aleve-D, SS 3/18
Use – (3) $1/1 Aleve Product, 20ct+ exp. 6/30/12 (SS 03/18/12)
Pay – $14.98, Get Back $10 RR + $5 RR
Final price – As low as FREE
BTW, my very first experience at ordering coupons from an eBay seller went WRONG. I got 5 Nasal Ease coupons, still waiting for the other 5. The moneymaker sale ends Saturday. The seller told me if I don't get them by sometime NEXT WEEK, he will send more. Won't do me any good next week. Accccckkkkkkkk!
Plus, I've got egg on my face with my fav Wags manager, he special ordered 10 of the product for me and is holding the other 5 for me. Stress ........ waiting by the mailbox every day. I placed both orders within minutes of each other. I don't understand WHY I didn't get both at the same time???? He's not answering my email now. YIKES. And he's got a great feedback. Another YIKES. LOL!
But, on a cheery note, I made an extra 25.00 (using) on top of that free 25.00 gift card that I got because of that very rude employee recently. That's a bonus. I could do more moneymaking - if I could only get those Nasal Ease coupons.
Where is everyone? Hope you are all getting bargains!!!

Did anyone get their free children's toothpaste this week at Walgreens?
I got the shampoo awhile ago, but thought these items along with the heavenly smelling chocolate teddy bear would be cute in a birthday gift basket - and put a smile on a little one's face?

I just saw this Target deal at Krazy Coupon Lady. Who couldn't use one of these - and for free? I've been meaning to get one for several years!
19.99 FoodSaver Handheld Vacuum Sealing System 19.00
Use 10.00/1 coupon from that coupon site.
Stack with 10.00/1 Target coupon = FREE
You can also get the Foodsaver bags or rolls real inexpensively by stacking manufacturer coupons with Target q's. Deal! I heard they are going real fast.

Hi All! Hope you all are gearing up for the MMakers at Walgreens next week! I'm waiting on my coupons. Checking mail daily.
In the meantime, my daughter (who just bought a beautiful condo in CA - smart investment, Sweetie) and I were going through container gardens together on Google and look what she found! I'm gonna try it this year. Seems like it would yield so many herbs for cooking all summer in such a small space!

Used my new(er) camera to take this pic .... Not sure if I really like it so far??

Nala and Gordy lounge waaaayyyyy up on my stockpile cabinet even though I put baskets up there to keep them off. They moved them around themselves. They say .... baskets, smaskets - we're unstoppable. ;)

Have a great evening! I'm ready to dream about sweet deals!
