I am trying to ID these 2 dolls I acquired this weekend.  The taller one has legs that bend and twists at the waste.  She is marked on her rear 1966 Mattel. INC US Patented US Pat Pend Made in Japan.  The other has bendable legs and twists at the waist.  She is marked on her rear 1967 Mattel Inc US Pat'd US Pat Pend Made in Taiwan.

Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks for looking.

Hi little,

Your doll on the left is a Malibu Francie.  She was issued 1971-77.  They were made either in Korea or Japan.  The date of 1966 on the body is when the body type was first manufactured and licensed.  Her outfit is a Barbie outfit, 1973, which is a variation of Aktuelle Hosemode, #8685.  I THINK these were produced in Germany.  I do not know who the doll on the right is.

I started looking into the Skipper dolls and I believe she is a Quick Curl Skipper form the 70's.  Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

Hi - yes the Skipper doll is a Quick Curl Skipper. I don't think the Best Buy is rare - I've found that variation several times here in Canada.
