You're right; not even close!  I just saw one online that appeared to be similar to mine that was identified as a brownette.  Thanks for your reply!

Lots of people mistake other colors for brownette (almost as many as mistakenly identify dolls as White Gingers or sidepart bubbles :)). In most cases I don't think it's out of malice. People hear about these dolls but have never actually seen one or done any research into them, so they jump to the conclusion they have one. Then the misidentification lives forever on the web and just confuses things more!

The best way I've ever heard the brownette color described was that it is the color of a Tootsie Roll.
