I'm going to try doing these as thumbnails, so the thread will load, but you can click on an individual thumbnail to get an up-close view of the image. First is a baby quilt I did for a co-worker. The block is Antique Tile (probably from the 20s or 30s), and it is a bear playing with a white kitten.

Link[/IMG][/URL]Then the next one is a Fancy Flywheels block that I got from a book, but I think that is a very old block (maybe from the mid or late 1800s?). I made that for a co-worker who wanted to give it to someone in the hospital. This one is brown and black bears in the forest.

Link[/IMG][/URL] Finally is one I just finished, using a traditional block called Swappers' Star. I had to draft this block, as it was supposed to be a 9" block but I needed it to be a 12" block. You use graph paper and enlarge the pattern. The fabric is bears catching salmon in a stream and most of the fabric is batik (a hand painted fabric).
