Has anyone here ever seen one of these bears. He is about 10" in height and is stuffed with a crunchy type material. I squeezed a bit to hear. He has blonde curley hair, and a pink open mouth. He wears a green and red plaid bow. He is jointed in arms and legs, not sure about head as I am afraid to turn. He is in wonderful shape. He comes in a box that is shaped for him and has a picture of him on front. The box is a dark red color. Has a patent # on box but I cannot locate that online. Not that I want to sell, just need info. If I did sell he would be my million dollar bear, unless I can find some info on him. Help!

Re: Teddy Bear in dark red box in bear's outline

I have that bear. 18 in. tall, arms and legs jointed and head turns completely around. Has a green and red plaid ribbon around its neck, at the bottom of his two feet, and inside his two ears.  He is inside a dark red box in the bear's outline, and his full picture is on the top cover of the box. The patent number on the back bottom of the box is 6668. His mouth is not opened and his innards are not hard stuff. His full body is light brown soft fabric, no curly hair. The bear is in excellent condition, and the box is in pretty good shape. Need information as to what decade/century he is from.  Thank you.

Most likely those bears were made in the 1980's - 1990's.

Wow. I was sure surprised to see this thread reincarnated.

I never found any info on my bear...Yes I do still have him.

I check in from time to time, but as you see the last time was a long time ago. Maybe the next time I check in, my bear will be an antique HAHA!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Just wanted to note that I have a similar teddy bear, in a snuggly fitting bear shaped box measuring about 9", but the actual size of the bear is 7". The box has a picture/painting of the bear on the front, and is dark red in colour on the remainder.  Bear looks vintage in appearnce with jointed arms and leg with a tarten bow tie/ribbon around the neck and stitched paws and feet in the same material. Stitched nose, but not an open mouth.  On the back of the box there is a sticcky label stating  PATENT NUMBER 6668. there are no other markings/tags/labels on either the bear or the box.  I bought him in a general auction about 10 years ago in a box full of bric-a-brac for about £2 ($5)
