Looking for Sears velcro-pawed Pooh about 12-15" sold in the "70's

Well, I've got quite a collection of bears -old ones, new ones, expensive ones and cute ones....but my quest for the Pooh I had when I was a kid has remained unsolved. My Mom threw out my old bear. 'cuz, well, he was getting rather ratty, and Mom's a nurse and issues with microbes or something.

So what I'm looking for is a Pooh that was sold in the 70's by Sears. He had round, black eyes, rather different gold fur that his velcro paws would stick to. (Not plush) He had a red felt stuck-on mouth (mine lost his pretty quickly. Grandma made him a new mouth. Better to eat hunny with!) and he came with a red felt shirt that said Pooh in yellow sript.

I've been looking on eBay for years, but haven't had any luck. Anybody have any other info that might help my search? Thanks much! (((Bearhugs N Hunny!)))

I saw something on the main page called Want it Now, or something like that. Maybe you can post there?
If you do get him, come back here and show us pics, that would be fun.

I have a huge bear that I bought at Sears in 1974 that looks like Pooh but was a knock-off. He doesn't have velcro paws though. I don't remember him having a felt mouth either but he is packed away right now. He has a blue and white knit shirt that is part of his body.

Sorry I'm so late to answer you, just saw your query. If Pooh-at-Sears came from the 70's (and the description fits a Sears Pooh Bear), it was made by Gund for Sears, exclusively.

I have two vintage non jointed Sears Pooh bears. One is late 60's I think, the other is possibly 70's. The late 60's Pooh has a sleeveless, short red felt top on. The applique gold/yellow pooh name has faded away on this one's top. Not sure of size as I do not have this pooh at my home right now. I think it is 10/12". They both have black pom pom noses. The other 12" 70's Pooh has "Gund" on his tag. This 70's? one has a red top w/short sleeves made of sweater material. The name Pooh is monogrammed on front of red sweater in gold. Neither has velcro paws. Can you post a picture? One of these poohs may be close to what you are looking for, but I have an idea the two pooh's I have will have shorter arms than the pooh with velcro hands.
