Re: My Bear Creation thread

She's finished :)
The body needs work, its too small, legs are too short, feet are too small etc, but i think i got the head down. I tested it out on left over mohair i had from the Cinnamon bear.
What do ya think?

Very cute, and it does look Steiffy to me. The ears are low, but they are little and cup-like, giving his face the proper look. You have gotten 100% better on the noses.

Now that I can see the head with the body, it seems closer to an Ideal type of look to me. Extremely cute and you can be proud of your handiwork.

Thanks so much Frodo :-x
I'm trying out a new body, this time i got arms and torso from a few different patterns, and the legs i morphed fatter at the hip and thinner at the ankle from another pattern, hopefully i will get that Steiffish body...or he may come out with lolipop legs lol.
I tried another bear last night with this head, but in a longer pile mohair, he will get the new and hopefully improved body :)
His ears arent ready, their just pinned on for now
Getting that Steiff head is hard. Their pattern must be tucked away in a secret vault somewhere lol
I see what you mean about Ideal, ahh maybe i'm too triangle.

I finished his body today :)
He is stuffed with a mixture of Excelsior, poly and scraps of mohair, wool felt and what ever was in the bin :^O
He is made from Kid Mohair. I did his head a little loose to give it that wobble.

He's very pretty now that he's completed. But when he was a disembodied head resting between feet--that reminded me of some horror movies, lol!

Wow, Mustbe! Your really blazing trails on making teds these days! Your creations show off your wonderful teddy making talents and the great creative abilities you harbor within! Bravo! Well done! I truly adore the last two teds you made. The mohair on the second to last pictured has exquisite mohair!! The last ted is quite whimsical & quirky. I love his facial expression!! LOL

You and I both have something in common besides bears.... vintage button fetish! Hehehehe.
Wonderful bear creations!! Keep 'em coming....I really enjoy seeing each and every bear you create!!
