We have our much beloved Sniping Revival Thread. We have also encountered the earlier proxy that beats the snipe. I have decided that we need to honor and acknowledge these early proxy winners.

We have, just like in the Revival thread, the naysayers.

Obviously we all know that a snipe bid is a proxy bid, but I want to give an award when an earlier proxy beats a snipe.

They happen all the time. As with the Sniping Revival, I will create Award seals for these winners that have successfully fended off the sniper. We should invite them to the board for the bestowing of their much deserved Award.

If they chose not to show up, then we can still bestow the Award onto the winner in absentia.

There will be different Award levels.

A Pure Proxy Win will be a single Proxy bid that beats the sniper.

There will be different Awards depending on the timing of the winning Proxy.

A winning proxy bid, in order to win this seal, this Award, must not be a sniper that lost to another sniper.

I would think that the latest that one would qualify would have to be more than a minute before the end. That gives plenty of time for a reactive bid or a snipe bid.

I would assume the Ultimate Proxy bid that beats a sniper is a single Proxy placed in the first 24 hours, the First Day of the auction.
