We have never had a secret Santa, in the 10+ years that I have been here, I don't think.

As to a card exchange, there really aren't very many regs left here on the BB, don't know if anyone would be very interested. The fun of the BB seems to have vanished, IMO.

{{LM}}, the card exchange is what I was referring to and you're right about the lack of regs, of course.

{lampy} Every time I wax nostalgic about the "good ol' days" on the BB I end up sounding like an old f**t. :(

My comment about the Secret Santa was in response to {{huzz}}.

I can't get too excited about Christmas right now, just put away the Halloween decor and trying to figure out what to do for Thanksgiving. I get to cook for 10 people on my birthday. Ugh.

Okay, I am remiss.

When I said "Secret Santa" I meant the gift exchange. I had a ball putting together the goodies for my giftee last year.

As for a card exchange, if y'all want me to, I will collect the addresses, put them in a file & send them off to those who are interested. I love having a bunch of cards sitting on the mantle...

but that's just me. (is that another hercy-ism?)

Oh - the gift exchange - I THINK - was all who wanted in just posted to the thread & then someone threw all the names in a hat sorta deal. Or was it that we gifted the person who posted above us? Or what? I don't remember. Wonder if last year's thread is still waaaaaay back there somewhere. hmmm...

{{OH}}, I know I have a copy of last year's card list. If I remember correctly, {{goyle}} did the gift exchange. Everyone who wanted to do it, let her know on the thread she set up for that purpose, and then she listed all the names. You sent a gift to the person below you as I recall. We could do it, but my guess is we would have no more than six people interested, if that many.

The big worry is giving out addresses e-mail or snail mail to those who might cause a problem, so care has to be taken that we know with whom we are dealing. (You probably figured this out already.)
