In praise of Tiptie and the disciples Cru and Pcr99, I SAY SNIPE ON !

twangerstudios, congrats on joining the ranks. I trust you will enjoy our company... I can tell you from personal experience that this is the way to go. I have won every auction I put a snipe on and it felt ohh so good ]:)

Hi there all,

I realize, after losing a few close calls, that I am going to need a sniping program, and could use one that is reliable, and works with my computer turned off.

I would appreciate any reviews or recomendations. I am tired of staying up till 2:00 A.M. just to bid

The Biddies have been suggesting Esnipe as one of the reliable ones.

You must also remember that esnipe or the others will only do what you would do at 2 in the more.................make one bid and make it your MAXIMUM.

Tactics: The actual sniping can be done manually, or through online services that will enter the bid for you at the last second The sniping services will enter the bid during the last second or two, whereas you could only do it yourself in the last 15 seconds or so, but don't worry! As long as the sniping is done with less than a minute left of the auction, your odds remain precisely the same for winning as they do if you were to snipe at the last second!. This is because you are entering the full amount for your real Max Bid in what amounts to a Vickrey Auction.

Typical of academics who know all about theory but have no real life experience.
