AAUUGGHHHHHH!! (Mike cries out in a blood curdling scream...)

Passed this up at the local thrift...it was 1st ed. 3rd impression...could have bought it for .59! (I remember cause I waffled back and forth if I wanted it or not...decided against it..looked too common)WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

Live and learn...but some lessons are painful..

Someone please send me a band-aid..

I don't feel as bad now. LOL

mikeb, don't feel too bad. :)

I found out the monetary value of many books after I gave them away for free. like all the "1st edition 1st printing of Dr Seuss books" and many many of the older children's books.

Some lessons are sure expensive!

OH Well, (big sigh)

Wall Street people collect this book in any edition except the current reprint. I sold two copies of this book, 2nd edition and 4th edition. 1st edition sells more than $1000 on ebay. The authors are the pioneer in stock market analysis. Warren Buffet was famed to be the author's faithfull student and got rich by using the author's method. It is a classic book in the field.

It's worth checking technical books. I once found a frankly dated-looking, small-size technical tome but since it was on rocketry by Werner von Braun it netted me my first $100+ sale.

Theres a few pages worth on addall. A couple copies under $30., one for over $6,000. Wow, who'd have thought!

Great tips Satnrose. I remember quite vividly when I was very green seeing a copy of Dune in DJ. It was an earlier printing and I let it slide.

So Black's Law is worth picking up, probably Gray's Anatomy, then, as well? Thanks for the tip -- would have picked up Black's if I ran into, passed on a Gray's and now I'm gonna do a search myself.
