The difference between bid and offer is now down to $500, which is something of a justification for letting it run. My guess is about $3500 final price.

Hi, I have been very hesitant to write back in. I was going to let this post just fall by the wayside..., just to try and expell the belief that I just posted this query to "advertise" my auction. I can see how doing such a thing could ruin the board. But it has been fun to watch everyones comments, and again I would just like to thank everyone for the info, and your kind thoughts to your "good luck on the book comments". Oh, and I promise, next time I ask for info, it will be BEFORE I start a listing. Thanks again!

The individual who made the offer has violated eBay TOS by making an offer when none was invited, presumably to make a sale off eBay.

Turn him in.

"Turn him in."

For someone who has previously stated that they hardly ever sell on ebay, you certainly have a lot of interest in policing ebay's site, OHB.

The Individual has not violated policy.

All they did was ask the seller a question which is allowed by E-bay.

Weird, Jack - you must have the category sorted differently. Here's what I show:

The Fitzgerald isn't even on the Most Watched list:

Ahhh... okay. The Featured items rotate - there are usually too many even to fit on a single search page, let alone on the Category page. Featured First helps, but the only way to really assure that an item keeps its position if to use Featured, Featured First, Home Page Featured and a border in tandem. Note that, in case of a "tie" that bordered items in Featured First show up ahead of the rest.

From the "Unhelpful Section";

If you purchase Featured First, each time a buyer enters search criteria that may result in your listing appearing in the search results, there is a chance that your listing will appear on the first page of search results.

When the buyer performs this search, a number of Featured First listings will be randomly selected to appear on the first page of search results in the Featured Items section.

A chance? Randomly?

I may be wrong, it's happened before.....
