Ok, I've signed up and have been pinning anything that I like and have pinned some of your items on there. The majority of re-pins so far is the Emblem Store...lotsa people have re-pinned it.
So, sign up already and pin stuff then you can follow me and I'll do that same. You don't have to though especially if you hate me or whatever. LOL
Here's my link, I hope this is the correct one. LOL

Hey all.........
When you get your link to post, make sure you do it from your pincreditibles home page.......The one with your photo or image.
That makes it easier to: repin, like and follow from your page.

I figured since your topic here is the first I'd ever heard of this, you should get whatever credit they offer but I can't figure out who has to do what to whom for a referral.

@ janewt-1,
Really? I did not know that. I thought that was for Big Crumbs...I heard about it from the PS board but not sure if it's the same. Anyway, I've pinned some of your items from 3 to 4 days ago, actually, I've pinned of most of everyone here, I think.
Doug, is it the same? I know same guy Vince something but not sure.

it's fun pinning. I really like it because I have a tendency to browse around my favorite stores and I've always bookmarked things so I can re-vist but with Pincredibles I can pin what I like and just visit my pins. LOL. This is way cool!

Pincredibles is indeed by the same gentleman who created BigCrumbs - and members of BigCrumbs as of a few months back were automatically enrolled in Pincredibles using their BigCrumbs info.
What bites, however, is that eBay does not pay out referral credit to either BigCrumbs or Pincredibles -- those sites can drive traffic to eBay, but eBay won't pay them when they generate sales. Something about the changes in the affiliates system a couple years back -- ticked off a lot of the major players who were sending a LOT of traffic to eBay. Wouldn't surprise me to find out it was one of JD's first "disruptive innovation" updates.
The way I look at it - I'm going to pin what I like and let folks who like the same follow me. Since eBay won't be sharing their profits, I'm less likely to pin an eBay listing unless the seller is known to me... I'd rather drive sales traffic to a site that recognizes the value of those referrals, regardless of the site that generates them. I'll pin a few of my own listings from time to time - just to see if their traffic exceeds expectations.
I like the concept of a social shopping site. I like the idea of being able to see selections picked by someone I know has similar tastes to my own. And I like the idea of the selling site sharing a taste of the profits from the sale with the folks who brought them the buyer.

Great points, Bob, and I agree with you.
I do the eBay pinning just to hopefully generate sales and help out members here but that's about it.
I've always browse everywhere and now I have a place where I can pin and store what I like. LOL. Now, if only there's a site where I can dress someone because sometimes the models just doesn't go with the clothes and it irks me...what a waste of brand and quality of clothing!

Welcome, Andrea.
Since you've received payments maybe you can tell us how it works since we're pretty much new on there.
I've gotten a payment but that was from the beta launch according to the email I got. So, I'm not really sure. Unfortunately, I've spent the money already. LOL.

Well - deed done. I even pinned a couple of your designer handbags although they aren't really my thing. Somehow the idea of an old fat guy walking around with a Coach bag just seems wrong.

@ Newt,
ROTFL. You're so funny! You don't have to pin those stuff...you can pin anything you like, really. That would be weird, wouldn't it?
Btw, I really like your ME page and the story behind it. Was it a hard decision to sell most things and go on the road? Just the thought of it scares me, personally.

I have been enjoying pinterest for a while now. I dont know how it compares to Pincredibles, except that Pinterest seems to have less advertising pins, and is therefore more interesting in my opinion.
Pincredibles looks kind of like a catalogue, whereas Pinterest is more like an art book you might keep on your coffee table.
Anyway its easy to use - just add the pinmarklet to your toolbar and pin away. I try to keep less than ten per cent of the pins my own listings.
Have gotten lots of re pins and follwers, though I have no idea if there is any business value to it.
Anyway when you pin something there is also a button you can click to "tweet your pin" and since my twitter automatically updates to my facebook page its just 2 or 3 clicks to pin something I like to Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook, without taking up my hardly any time.

Link is to a sqidoo page (not mine) that clearly explains the pinterest thing if anyone is P - interested. lol

I'm not sure how Pinterest works since I didn't sign up when it came out and I haven't had a chance to take a look either but does Pinterest pay for pinning or for referrals?
I signed up for Pincredibles from Doug and I haven't been a member a week yet and I've gotten paid $142 already so I can't really complain.
Pincredibles looks like a catalogue because it sort of is. You basically get commision if you pin stuff from their participating retailers. I'm not sure if this is how Pinterest works.

Like today, my doc has a tendency to run an hour behind so I'll be in the waiting room pinning. LOL. Yesterday, I was doing the laundry at the laundry place and I was pinning while I was waiting for my blankets to get done.
I like looking at catalogs and Pincredibles is my own catalog.

@ Dennis,
You don't have to if you don't want to, you know. I mean, you gotta like what you're signing up to. I know, I won't if I didn't.
Thanks, Andrea, I appreciate the info.

@ debbie
LOL. It's not really free since you have to pin and stuff but if it's something you like then go for it! Personally, it's fun for me since it's what I do all the time anyway.
Like yesterday, I was at my physician's office and I usually get nervous (what is she going to tell me now), fidget, or play with my cell which, most likely, raises my blood pressure and hyperventilate or something. LOL. I was pinning (managed 2 pins) but then the workers decided to talk to me instead so I didn't get to do too much. It probably didn't help that I used to work there.

I pinned a picture of me and my 5 month old granddaughter when she was a new born.
I also posted items from the antique shop on Route 66 that leads to her facebook page.
I like it now that I figured out how to pin. Dare to dream, and then dare to begin.
