This is likely to be my worst month ever.

Was clipping right along through March, April, and May. Best months ever in fact. Now my proposed sales for June are at about half of what I have been selling. Also, considerably less than what last June brought. This is discouraging. Have to dig into my savings a bit to eat this month. Hopefully I will make some sales in the next 7 days.

Maybe I should blame it on outrageous ebay fee's and policies like a lot of other sellers. That way I don't look so bad ;).

I love the smell of packaging tape in the morning.

You are in the same boat with many others.  I am in it, and its getting crowded.  On the power sellers board the boat is so full that it is swamped.

I went on line and checked July sales for last year.  I found out that except for gasoline and cars which were up around 4%, sales were down from June.  Of course that does not mean it will happen again this year.

My hopes are based on the 4th of July fireworks show where I will be a vendor, and my sales returning to normal here in July.  I will be listing a lot of items.

Yes, many are now getting the PS & TRS. The PS board will now get so watered down with newbie questions, it won't be worth visiting for a while.

Remember though.......It's now easier than ever to get PS & TRS, so much so, that luck could play a big role. While getting it may be easy............Holding onto it for any length of time will be tough for thoughs that are just getting it, with out the tried & true experience of selling here.

The goal now is to get the shooting star, in order to have access to that posting board group. But with fewer & fewer buyers leaving FB in return...........It's going to be a long long long wait. Guess listing listing listing and selling selling selling will help get us to that point.

I agree, it has been EXTREMELY SLOW!!!  :(  I really have no idea what's going on but really, really, really slow.  I don't buy the weather, vacations, or any of those excuses.  Something else is going on.

I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones....I'm hanging on with sales about the same as the past 6 months.  However, I missed the announcement about free auctions for stores this month, and could have boosted my sales had I known about it before it ended....grrrr!

Thats why I check the Announcements twice a day, morning and late in the afternoon. I figure it's worth the couple of clicks a day to check, since eBay no longer emails on-time to tell us.

My sales are in a slump too.  I haven't been doing much but in the past I can cruise through a week or two and still be okay but this is depressing.  I feel like I'm losing interest, which is not good.  Anyone else feeling like that?

There are a bunch of thread's on the tech issues board. Start with the one about ebays server's. some report sales off as much as 90%. Some think the new search is doing it a few % of people at a time. Time to really examine item specific's and keyword's and what they do and when to use them and where.

Ever wonder if eBay tests things before they roll them out?

I am wondering the same thing, The last 2 sales I have had have been from Washington state.  I just find that strange.  Today I have one bid on an auction, so we will see what today brings.  I have 20+ listings up today, so hopefully I will have more than one sale.  Just going to keep listing to get ready for Fall, my busy season.

It's always the last 2 weeks of the month is a killer for me.  I haven't figured out why that is.  Sales down the drain for some reason. * shakes head*  I sort of bounced back for a month or so but it went back to the same thing afterwards which is slumped sales.  It's really weird.

It's very disconcerting.  :(

What policy changes?

You mean, the 1 day handling, extended returns, and the uploaded tracking?  I don't see the relevance.

I've been practicing those policies except for the returns went from 7 to 14 days but everything else is the same so what other policy changes are there?

sales dropped obviously since ebay changed the policy this month.

That doesn't make any sense. You mean to say that buyers don't want their items shipped the next day with an uploaded tracking number? If anything that should generate more sales.

The nice thing about an ebay business is that if it fails you can just blame it on ebay policies. ;)

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones too. Had a record # of sales last month and am getting close to that record again this month.

The EcommerceBytes blog ran a story about this on Monday~~~> http://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2012/6/1340656423.html . Supposedly, ebay is investigating the sales slump because they are having so many sellers calling in to CS. They want all sellers who are experiencing this to call in too.

I don't see anyone mentioning the recent changes in google search:

http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/y211/m05/abu0286/s02

OR

the change from RSS 1.0 to RSS 2.0 that ebay recently made and which affected a lot of publishers (affiliates) that promote ebay listings:

http://www.ebaypartnernetworkblog.com/en/2012/05/final-notice-for-transitioning-to-rss-2-0-deadline-may-31st/

These could be part of the problem for some sellers.

I took the summer off, but noticed the slump in late May and early June.  Ebay paid for our summer vacation, but I am seriously doubting that happening this year.

September 2012 was the worst month ever.  I'm not a big seller,  but gee whiz...

I hope it picks up.
