I am soooo frustrated that they do one day shipping. NOOO ONE else on internet offers one day shipping. Because I have top rated seller and 100% feedback I get 20% taken away because I dont do one day....their repesentative even said that they charge a shipping fee now for the ones that overcharge shipping..>WHAT...I dont overcharge but that was their only rational way to charge more fees. Gimme a break. I used to love ebay now...its just a business.

Wait till amazon introduces the same day delivery option they are working on.

Since ebay copies EVERYTHING amazon does.....

No offense intended but this is where many sellers makes this mistake.  eBay is a tool people and should be treated as such.

I'm glad there's eBay so I can sell my stuff and make some extra money but I will not die or go in to deep depression because eBay did me wrong or something.  I'm not going to close shop because eBay refused to remove a ding that was left by a buyer accidentally.  I'm not going to go jump off a bridge just because I pay $600 and up monthly fees and that's not including PP's fees.....

eBay is a tool and ONLY a tool and the more people realizes that...the better they will be...just sayin'...

Come on, Christy, all your friends are jumping off bridges. LOL

We seem to be getting a lot more of these types of postings.  There is another one I just read from someone who started on Ebay 15 years ago.

I wish they would find another board to post on, but they have the right to post here.

Same day delivery

Back when i had a job when ther was a AOG (aircraft on ground), we would sometimes have same day delivery for the part to fix the plane.  Often if it was out of the area, so we would buy a ticked for a seat on the airplane, and buckle it in.  Then we would have a delivery company on the other end get it and deliver it.  It was very expensive, and even more complicated today because of Home Land Security issues.

I didn't know Amazon was doing that.

The whine of "I want it now" is becoming quite infantile.

I don't think ebay will be able to copy same day shipping anytime soon because Amazon is setting up more regional warehouses around the USA where their sellers can store their inventory and have amazon ship it out. eBay does not provide that service at this point. Now if ebay wants to set up a system similar to amazon's, that would be a whole different story. I don't see it happening, but if I'm wrong, it will take quite a while for ebay to get it up and running.

B-)

I believe ebay bought out a company that does this wharehousing thing. It was a few months back that they acquired this company... I don't remember the full details of this but I believe Charmlinda (Michael) can tell us more about this if he sees this message. I have a feeling that ebay is trying to be like Amazon and will eventually offer same day shipping....

Az's not just talking same day shipping......Their talking "Same day Delivery".......:O       You order today, the item is on your doorstep the same day.

Speeking of which.........With all the new Co's starting up to reimburse you for shipping costs (yearly fee required), I beleive "Free shipping" will/may fade away as a selling tool.

Yes, that was GSI down the road from me in King of Prussia. That was ebays attempt to try the fulfillment biz like AZ's FBA. Ebay wants to be a fulfillment service cause AZ is.

So I figure they will also try to copy the same day delivery if AZ gets it going successfully. Just a matter of time for the copycat syndrome to take effect again within ebay.

I would like to see ebay be innovative and think of a new idea for themselves again. Remember those days! It was pretty exciting. Sigh!

I do remember seeing this but it was about a year ago...I wasnt interested so I never really paid alot of attention to it.

OP--eBay charges a FVF on ALL shipping charges not just on overcharges...its been like that for what a year or so???

Az "river" is doing it with their "Prime Membership" program. You then get free 2 day shipping on items that qualify as Prime.

eBay has a sponcored ad, that shows occassionally on the sign in page........It offers 10.oo cash back on your first order when you sign up. I see this ad to the right of the big centered ad that is usually for Vista print, when I switch from ID to ID.

Also, Have you seen the TV ad's lately? Thoughs call now and we'll double your order. At the end they tell you to ask about "Free Shipping". Thats where they also get you to sign up for the yearly membership to get free shipping (reimbursement for shipping paid) on your online purchases.
