Paypal vs Moneybrookers and sellers and common strategy

Oct 25, 2009 4:44 PM
I am a seller at eBay over 2 years now. PayPal closed couple of my accounts without any tangible explanation and kept my money over six months..

I was searching for alternatives to PayPal and came across with Moneybrookers. I have listed couple items with and sold them with moneybrookers. Their fees are low and if you are a power seller at the end of 10 waiting days they release your funds.

I want to see some other sellers selling with MB and share our opinions how to introduce this new payment gateway to our costumers. As we all know, PayPal dominates the eBay and when people don't see PayPal as a payment option they don't pay.

It would be great if we can share our personal experiences with MB usage and how to get best of it.

One week and I made 9 sales with MB. Because you just put your card information and you know when something happens you just deal with the back, people buy it. So far so good for me.

You need to edit your payment options. If you go into the current listing/listing..click the items you want to edit.

once you have selected the items click on the edit button below..(edit in bulk if you have several items)

Click the area for Payments as the specific function.

If editing in bulk you will have the abilty to use the pick lists where you can pull down and select Paymate. You can also unselect PayPal.

If doing this one by one you edit the area on your list for payment meathod and then next to the "How do I get Paid" area on your listing you click on add options. A pop up box will apear where you can select Paymate.

Once you are done with that you will need to check it again once you have submitted it.

The other way is to create or edit your templates so that it is always there. I have removed PayPal from all of mine and added Paymate.

Hope that helps

You might want to make sure that you have it spelled correctly in your listings.

It is Moneybookers .... not Moneybrookers.

Looks sort of questionable when it is misspelled.

Hello. I have just paid the item with Mooneybookers. It is quickly and handy. But is it true that buyer can pay without register on the site of Moneybookers?
