A check of the selling policies of ebay.ca (
LINK) showed a similarity to the ebay.com policy (
LINK), but made no mention of rules for the sale of certified and uncertified coins. The first sentence under the "Guidelines" for ebay.ca states (under "Additional Information"), "Read the Code of Conduct for Selling Coins & Paper Money on eBay." I clicked the link but got a blank page.
On the policy page of eBay.com under "Some Examples," it states that if a coin is not certified by one of the "approved" grading companies (NGC, NCS, PCGS, ICG, ANACS) it is considered raw/uncertified. Therefore:
"A numeric grade is not included in the title of the listing, such as MS-65, VF-25, etc. A numeric grade may only be included in the description of the listing.
The grading company or price guide is not referenced in the title or description.
A dollar value (even if personal opinion) is not included in the title or description"
It could be that the policy is the same for all of ebay, but ebay.ca does not mention it specifically like ebay.com does on their policy page, and the link to the "Code of Conduct" on the ebay.ca site did not work to prove otherwise.
