Coin collectors are prone to political opinions. U.S. coinage and paper money is issued by the government, the numismatic and bullion markets are affected by government economic policies, and our collectibles are first and foremost MONEY which is regulated by the Federal Reserve System. Every numismatic collectible issued by our government is related to an Act of Congress and overseen by the Treasury Department.

I respectfully request our "host", "the venue", and other discussion board users allow this discussion to exist. Its purpose is to serve as a repository for political opinion, thereby keeping political interruptions to a minimum on the other discussions related to coins, paper money, and the bullion markets, on this board. In this way, users who are not interested in political commentary can use the board without being subjected to it. Prior to establishment of a Political Thread, many quality on-topic discussions were ruined by endless political bickering.

I am anticipating that final popular vote will be somewhere around 60% for Obama-Biden, and 40% for Romney-Ryan.

And if Republicans continue to resist the President at every turn, they may not win the Presidency for another 40 years.

President Barack Obama is not a socialist.  Here is a link ot to a website that debunks several myths about 'socialism' in the United States of America...

I'll chime in on this...

Could it be because every one of them is factual?

It could be because it is another example of complete and utter lack of support by Odie and most Republicans for our President, for our duly elected President, from Day One until now.  It's not because he is a Democrat; it's because he is black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And how about Obama's lie that "our plan worked" with 8+% unemployment for 42 consecutive months, a stagnant economy, and the labor participation rate at it's lowest in 30 years?

Robmey said last night that Republicans  have supported this president in good faith. Mitt Robmey is a liar, like most Republicans.  You hate our President and our country, and by your completely unpatriotic actions have hindered and belittled America at every step of the way these past four years.  You hate America and what we stand for, freedom and equality. This thread has seemed like an office of the KKK for years now, thanks to Odie and his ILK.

President Obama manifests the American Dream.  He is an American hero and deserves to be re-elected.  He is not battling only blockers, but trivial, idiotic Republican racists.

You hate America and all we stand for.

No President could accomplish all of their goals with such treasonous, hateful, racially motivated slugs as you, and each of you knows who you are.  You are traitors in my view. And if you think you are a good Christian, you are wrong, dreadfully wrong.

So, if you believe that our President should have or could have done more, look to YOURSELF as the cause of any failure, any worsening, and any and all problems in this country. The poorest black person in this country is probably a much better citizen than you. What you have done is worse than committing MURDER. You are sickening, individually as and a group.

I shall now make another donation to President Barack Obama's re-election campaign fund.

Sad to see that Larrymo has decided to join the race-baiting haters.

While it is true that re-electing O'bama is your best bet for sending the American dollar into the dumper, you shouldn't give up on the one real chance to salvage our economy, Larry.

LIsten, I will only say this once as Larry said before, WHAT?  The man is an abject failure as President period.  It has nothing to do with the fact that he is an American Of African Descent.  He has done nothing except attempt to destroy this country from within.  It is not the fault of anyone but his being incompetent.  He is a community organizer and a socialist and has not a job skill.  He is a foreign exchange student with no qualifications to be president.  You saying what you said LarryMoeCurly is racist itself.  Keep drinking the kool aid!!:^O

You are larry right now in this moment and can focus on that personality. There are several mental health issues to deal with but while all of you seem to be together, your collective postings are an abject failure in producing a smooth, fluid logical thesis statement.

The shame and bitterness you have from being deported foreign exchange student resurfaces again. All of your tin foil hat/chicken little fragments in the above post have no serious point.

You want to be taken seriously with your "factual analysis", right?

And what factual analysis have you provided?  Please Richard, the almighty logic man of posting, please indulge us all with your factual analysis and thesis on the economic recovery and your statement that the "stimulus is slowly working".  Go ahead, and once you prove this recovery, a Republican will be in the Oval Office.

Monetary reform is needed throughout the world.

I am entirely against fractional reserve lending and the debt-money system which is weighing down our economy and transferring our wealth to the largest private banks, leading us toward 'debt slavery.'

The Federal Reserve Bank is not an agency of the U.S. government.  The Fed is a large private bank which essentially 'counterfeits' U.S. currency to any extent they desire.  Recessions and depressions are intentionally created by the largest private banks.

Essentials of a debt-free currency system would include...

• No more borrowing by governments, ever. Sovereign governments can create wealth as needed. Granted, the governments must control the quantity of money to prevent inflation.  All politicians could get what they need for their districts.  All other politicians would support those causes.

• Elimination of fractional reserve lending by banks.

• One aspect of a debt-free currency system would be elimination of our national debt and any need to pay interest on such debt.  What a relief that would be!

• Debt-free money would give power to the people, not to the banks.  Our money should benefit all of the people, not just bankers.

Lincoln had it right with his 'greenbacks' which were debt-free currency, similar to United States Notes and our debt-free coinage.

Rank and file Republicans and Democrats are led by the nose by large private banks.  We have been duped by the bankers. Political parties are set at odds by the bankers. The issues we argue about are of no importance to the bankers, whatsoever.

Whoever the President shall be, they should emplace debt-free currency as our monetary system.  Bankers will argue against such a change.  Tough!

Debt-free money can save the world from a return to serfdom.  Nothing else will do.

No, we hate what Democrats stand for, and that isn't freedom or equality.  Democrats stand for freedom from responsibility, and equal results regardless of effort or having earned them.  Odie has not posted anything on this thread, or the old one, that had even a hint of racism in it.  We have posted objections to Obama policies, and he gets equal treatment right along with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who support the same failed ideas and stupid policies.  He is not battling "blockers" or "trivial idiotic Republican racists", he is battling his own failed ideology and incompetence.

President Obama manifests political corruption and the inherent failures of affirmative action.  He is an American opportunist who did not earn his free-ride through the educational system, who was thrust into the political arena on the elbow of some of the most despicable and radical elements of American society, who is not qualified to be the mayor of a mid-sized American city let alone a United States Senator or President.  Far from being the victim of racism, he owes everything he has done to his race... had he been the same man but only white, he'd have never survived past the Iowa primaries in 2008.  Preferential treatment based only on skin color is no better when the skin is black than when it is white.

I will remind you, once again, that the Civil Rights Act was passed by Republicans in Congress, and had failed repeated previous attempts because of Democrats.  I will remind you that the Democrat Party is the party of the KKK, not the Republicans, and that a Democrat Senator and former Klansmanwas referring to black people using the N-Word on live national TV just a few years ago.  I will remind you that the Republican Party was born of the abolishonist movement.  I will remind you that while the Republicans had at least two Black women, a Black man, a Hispanic woman, and a Hispanic man, all elected by Republican voters, MSNBC refused to air any of their speeches and instead filled their airtime with talking heads who earn their living by dividing people along ethnic lines and calling people racists.

Be that as it may, however it came to be, Barack Obama is the President.  He made some campaign promises, which have been posted here already, and he lived up to virtually none of them.  He had absolute control of government, with a filibuster proof Senate, and no "racist Republicans" were able to obstruct a single thing he wished to do.  President Obama now has a record as President, and quite frankly it sucks.  I didn't like his agenda to start with, but even discounting that, his record sucks for people who DID like his agenda.  His record is failure and broken promises, and that he's Black does not give him a pass with me.  If it gives him a pass with you, that's up to you, but you might reconsider exactly who should be called a racist here.

Printing money is not creating wealth.  It is printing money, which devalues the money.  When government prints money and passes it out, it reduces the incentive to create actual wealth (produce something of real value).  If you do not create the wealth to match the creation of the money, you destroy the stored wealth that is represented by the money, and renders the money increasingly useless as a means of obtaining goods and services.  Here is a picture of what that looks like.

I'll chime in on this...

Well, what do you know!

We now have one of the "left leaning" academics who helped create the "left leaning" scientists and journalists responsible for electing a radical socialist tyrant also playing the race card.

I might understand that coming from some others on this board but to hear a purportedly well-educated person spouting charges of racism is a disgrace.

And in fact, I won't even waste my time pointing out the innumerable fallacies and outright lies in his post since I know from prior exchanges he would either ignore them or distort what was said anyway.

In fact, it's been a while since a socialist educator has presumed to lecture the veterans and other true patriots on this board about American values.

Tell me Larry, since you accuse the veterans here and in Congress who oppose Obama because he is incompetent of being unpatriotic, how did you serve your country beyond polluting the impressionable minds of students entrusted to your care?

As for the rest of your post I didn't see a single fact among the string of ad-hominem attacks.

That's about typical for the Obama gutter campaign tactics that now prevail.

Thanks for demonstrating exactly how low a supposedly educated person will sink when watching your ideology circling the drain because you believed a pathological situational liar.

Now about any reason why a rational person should vote for Obama beyond the color of his skin.

Or an explanation of how Obama's lie that "our plan worked" can be true with 8+% unemployment for 42 consecutive months, a stagnant economy, and the labor participation rate at it's lowest in 30 years.

Oh wait a minute. You already answered that.

Since you claim that Obama's  policies didn't work because of all us "traitors" you actually admitted that he lied.

Imagine that!

Well, let's see.

We have 7 more posts from RR but still not a single comment from him about Obama's record. That's about the extent of any comments his latest piles are worth.

And several posts from a supposedly educated person that include race baiting, ad-hominem insults, more unsubstantiated wishful thinking that ignores Obama's decline in recent polls; a list of purported Obama accomplishments that are so outlandish they make even the Obama campaign lies look truthful, and last but by no means least, an article supposedly debunking charges that Obama is a socialist that was posted on this thread before and thoroughly debunked.

Of course I wouldn't expect anything more from a "left leaning" educator who is brainwashed to the point he actually believes Obama belongs on Mt. Rushmore along with successful presidents who upheld the Constitution rather than deliberately ignoring it every time the balance of powers thwarted his radical socialist agenda.

Now, the logical question here is if anything that Larry says about Obama's accomplishments is true, why isn't that what we see in the Obama campaign ads instead of innuendo, deliberate distortion and outright lies?

The answer is simple. Obama and his gutter campaign realize they have nothing believable to say about Obama's accomplishments so they resort to gutter tactics that even prominent Democrats said disgrace the Office of the President.

Monetary reform is needed throughout the world.

I see you are back selling "debt-free money" with nothing but the same lofty theoretical statements you have been pushing here for months.

And I also see that you are no closer to defining how you can make that happen than you were the first time around despite numerous requests for you and/or Still to do so.

So, in short, what we have here is another repetition of the same bloviating rhetoric you posted several times in the past.

That's about what I would expect from an academic who ignores the intricacies of his pipe dreams.

Now tell me Larry: Does Obama support "debt-free money"?

After all that's the least I would think you would expect from someone you think belongs on Mt. Rushmore!

With that I am going to get some sleep.

Before I do, let me leave you with a quote from Gov. Romney during the RNC:

"President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans .....

And to heal the planet.....

My promise is to help you and your family."

There, my friends, is the difference between a bloviating academician and a successful businessman.

The socialists understand that and that is their plan.  That is Obama's plan.  The funniest part of that entire plan is printing the money and giving it first to politicians.  There will be no corruption!  Yeah, right.  Did everyone miss what happened with the stimulus plan that was for shovel ready jobs that the President later laughed off that is "slowly working" as claimed by the socialist in charge Richard?  Still waiting to see his "thesis" on that particular point.

I find it amazing and truly disingenuous that Larrymo123 did not cite any source because those ridiculous thoughts, no matter the amount of socialist nonsense included, are not his original thoughts.  Now if that is the unfortunate class that he teaches, then he also should let us know what school allows that so we can protect our children and future generations.
