Hmm... Looks like this is becoming the default Comics Board FAQ thread, so I'll answer a few questions and throw out a couple things I put forward under one of the "Collectibles" threads... Yes, the CGC is dealt with under the "Hey, FAQ You" section (the general Q&A section). The info is basic, but there's also a link to the "Know It Alls" section in which there's more in-depth analysis of the pros and cons of the service. I'm always looking for more info and opinions, however... The FAQ is and ever shall be a work in progress. Which brings me to my next point! As maintainer of the FAQ, I'm constantly working on keeping it topical and up-to-date. For example, the section on "Grade 'n' Value" is about to undergo a small revamp. Currently, that section is based on a general consensus culled from various industry standards, including the OGG and Paul Adams' on-line grade guide (sorta-kinda like what the CGC claims to have done, but we've actually made ours public). It's somewhat conservative, but we decided to err on the side of caution as it's there more for beginners. However, I'm currently looking to recruit a fellow who's developing the first on-line grade calculator to contribute an additional "post" on grading using strict Overstreet standards. In other words, there's always room for improvement and new information. With the advent of this new threaded Comics discussion board, I can see already there's new voices that should be heard and new info specific to the peculiarities of this forum that should be added (I'll be slapping up that link you suggested probably later today). So I have a favor to ask of the people posting here to the "Longbox"... submit something! Here's how you can help contribute to keeping the Comics Board FAQ one of the best board FAQs on eBay and arguably the best FAQ on the 'net for information specific to buying and selling comic books here on eBay: "Hey, FAQ You" - This is simply answers to frequently asked questions. The need for it arose on the other Comics Board due to the fact that it only holds 200 posts, and can often scroll entirely within a couple of hours. If, after looking it over, you spot a common question that isn't answered, submit it along with an appropriate answer. Please take note, however, of the operative words "frequent" and "common"... we don't want to overwhelm newbies seeking simple answers with minutia or extraneous information. "Grade 'n' Value" - As I said, this section is currently undergoing--if not a complete renovation--a slight expansion. Any and all input is appreciated. "Misc-ing Links" - See a publisher, newsgroup, or outstanding recourse/reference link that's been missed? Send it on in! "Going Postal" - Think we've got this one pretty well covered, but again comments and suggestions are welcomed. "OG Artwork" - This section needs major help. The info we currently have on obtaining sketches from cons and other sources is good, but I'd really like to see it expanded on to include (among other things) info on the specific differences between such things as color guides and finished pages, etc. Also info on what exactly to look for when cruising eBay original comic art auctions. Value, the art of collecting art, you name it... "Great Read!" - This is a biggie. A new section we're just getting ready to introduce, this is where we'd like to point people for suggestions on what comics are worth checking out. Needed is the following in the following format: For children, for first-timers, for returning readers, and off the beaten path (indie, adult, unusual, underground). Please make note of specific runs, titles, issues, and whether or not it's been collected in GN or other trade editions (this'll make it easier for people to track down). We'll also be linking to Wizard's guide to the top 100 comics. "Post It Notes" - Right now, this section is specific to the "norms" and "netiquette" (eBay's words, not mine) of t
